+Therese Crouch Therese I cannot always tell when speaking how it will come out unfortunately. And I don't know how it turned out until I get back home!
It would not work as there needs to be a grid to take off excess supply and for storage. If not, we would all be like in campervans with our own individual batteries which would make it financially untenable. Furthermore major industrial users would never be able to produce enough electricity for their needs - and houses may not be able to in very cold winters! But I like your way of thinking!
