We need to make sure we keep up this pressure on Jon Jones and the UFC as a community, if Jones fights an old Stipe, wins then retires. It will be so uneventful, we NEED to see Jon Jones vs his interim champion Tom Aspinall to make sure his last fight is hyped, dangerous and meaningful. The two path ways are one more fight, either with Miocic or Aspinall. Jones considers fighting Aspinall "sticking around too long" and has no problem fighting Stipe, that's all you need to know.
Tom is the fight everyone including myself wants to see, but beating Stipe cements him beating the GOAT HW. Beating Tom = people saying Tom was overhyped a week later. In 20 years people just look at resumes. Beating Tom (unless he goes onto be HW goat) literally does nothing.
There's no chance in hell Jon is going to fight any real contenders, unless they agree to take a dive like Gane did. Jon retired four years ago and he is not coming back. Tom Aspinal is risking his career in the UFC going the way of Nganou.
Hey Guru you do realize Jones is going to be THIRTY SEVEN when he returns, right? Jones is 8 yrs older than Aspinal while Stipe is only 4 yrs older than Jones. However Jones should vacate the title. Jones vs Stipe for their retirement/legacy fight. Aspinal vs Gane for the undisputed HW title.
@brc11crb59lol he built it and has made it grow every year i bet you want it to be like disney where everyone gets paid like they’re all champions and every weight class has at least one person from every country for diversity 🤡
@brc11crb59Dana is the reason we have ufc give him some respect he might make some shitty fights some times but think about all the good fights we’ve had lol ufc will be very different when he’s gone
@@lowlowseesee”it’s not that simple”. It is. All these tweets from Jon are just a long winded way of saying “i don’t want to fight Tom, I want the easy fight in stipe”
Remember when he was willing to fight Tai Tuivasa? But for Jones opponent's resumes only matter for significant contentenders that Jon knows he has a huge chance at losing lol. He knows his time is up.
It has literally nothing to do with Aspinall. That's just the amount of people that hate Jon and want to see him fail. Nobody actually gives a shit about Tom Aspinall 😂 imagine actually being a fan or that boring prick
"Imaginary championship" Jon, buddy, Tom beat 6 heavyweights before getting his shot at gold. You beat 0 heavyweights before getting a shot at Gane lmao
None of those heavyweights outside of Pavlovich are good or impressive wins. Wins over Arlovski and Tybura stopped being impressive about 5 years ago. Aspinall didn't even earn the interim fight, the interim belt was very clearly a fraud move just like the fake BMF belt to get more PPV sales. You Aspinall fans really thought he had a shot 😂😂😂😂
Idc to see it either. But Jones is right. If he beats Tom it'll be the exact same as when he fought Gane. " oh well he was just overhyped" is all you'll get. Tom had hardly any hype prior to beating Sergei.
I don't understand how people are still unironically saying "jones sleeps aspinall." It makes zero sense... Who has he "slept?" Also, Aspinall has power in both hands, low kicks, and he's quicker, faster, younger etc. I just honestly can't understand how jones would ever beat aspinall
The fact we have to defend Tom being frustrated he can’t unify the belts when he’s the IC because Jon and the UFC want to fight stipe who’s coming off a brutal ko loss and has been out for 3 years is just bonkers lol
@@chiquita683 he probably is gonna have to…which makes serious fucking sense because the UFC has never demanded their IC champs to defend against the division. The whole POINT is to solidify the next contender for the champ who’s out with injury or whatever else and then unify the two belts the next fight. Tom having to defend it because we wanna force feed 41 year old stipe coming off a 3 year layoff off a brutal KO to Francis is bonkers and unfair. Jones is obviously ducking Tom and these other young contenders it’s so obvious lol
Gee I don’t maybe because the interim champion is supposed to fight the undisputed champion, the whole reason why interim champion is a thing. Why would you defend an interim belt? The word interim literally means temporary ie they’re gonna unify the belts next. Did that really require an explanation?
Funniest part was the tweet where Jon Jones says it's normal for him to consider retirement because he's 36, while trying to get a fight with a 41 years old.
@@charlesbrown4483 Volk is 35. 9 years older than the challenger Topuria. Alex Pereira is 36 and taking on all challengers.. Your argument is trash. Just say you're a Jones fan boy.
@@losnos79 I don’t give a shit if Jon ever fights again. I’d actually prefer he bow out instead of letting the UFC push him into fights when he’s past his prime. You people are are so shameless, shits hilarious😂
There was nothing impressive about Jones Vs Gane anyway. Legitimately one of the fakest looking fights I’ve seen. Gane didn’t even try to fight the takedown or submission, he just let them both happen. There’s a difference between being unskilled at wrestling/BJJ and not even trying.
Let's face it, even if Ngannou was magically allowed to do the superfight with John, John would still rationalize that Stipe would somehow be the bigger fight 🤣
@@cloudmamba5416 Imbecile* learn how to spell, casual. Jones wants to fight one dimensional fighters, Ciryl, Pavlovich, Tuivasa, or Stipe in this case (who's just practically deceased at this point). This is because heavyweights typically have no ground game, it's difficult to "just stand up" with that much weight in the mix, and he can literally lay 260lbs on their neck and force a tap. And are you implying that Pavlovich has a better resume than Aspinal? Stop with the capital letters, dummy, we can read them just fine normally.
Jones was already ducking Ngannou the first time. He said on camera the risk for him is too high so he priced himself out of the fight. When Francis fought Gane Jones could have easily had that fight instead if he wanted to but he didnt. Jones is the only reason that fight didnt happen back then. As the defending champion Ngannou had to fight whoever the ufc put in front of him.
@@cloudmamba5416 Accepting someone as a backup fighter and accepting a fight against them are two very different things. Stipe also accepted Pavlovich as a backup but did he fight him? No.

I get what you’re saying, but it’s obviously different bro. Charles ruined the main event because he was hard sparring without headgear 10 days out from a rematch. Honestly what are you talking about? You’re making it sound like stipe is getting preferential treatment, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Jones is the one who pulled out, and he’s the one who is getting the preferential treatment, and it’s obvious
And the shitty thing is that it doesn’t make sense for Tom to fight anyone else other than Jones. He can’t just fight someone ranked lower than him just for the hell of it while Jones is still undisputed. So he’s basically stuck in purgatory until Jones shits or gets off the pot.
@@thatoneguy5001yes after stipe you can’t take the shot away from stipe because jones got injured. Tom literally only got a shot at the interim because jones pulled out and remember he wasn’t even the original back up 😂 I get it tom vs jones is more interesting on paper but use some common sense instead of emotion
We already knew Jones wanted to fight Stipe cuz he's old and washed and then retire, but i never thought i'd see the supposed goat of the sport say he's actively ducking the #1 contender 😭😭😭 wild. First he ducked Francis for 3 years now he's ducking Tom Aspinall
I think he's playing it well. He's saying nothing but inarguable facts and it's still winding Jon up. If he stoops to the level of personal jabs then Jon can take the moral high ground

@@Mokuteke Maybe Tom does need to lose to Reyes and get a split-dec against Santos who was fighting at MW 9 months earlier, and test positive for roids on 4 different occasions. Maybe that will be proof he too, is a different breed
People forget Jones announced his move to HW before Stipe/Francis 2 assuming Stipe would win again, then he sat out until Francis left the division before taking a fight. Now he's trying to avoid someone else to fight Stipe again even though it's been years and Stipe hasn't done anything since
He didn't want to fight Stipe at first either. Kept yapping on twitter about how Stipe didn't generate enough PPV money. I think it was only recently that he came around to the idea that Stipe was too old and washed up to pose much of a threat to him. Plus, if he really has always wanted to fight Stipe he could've just done it after Stipe beat Ngannou the first time, the rematch wasn't immediate.
@@robertmartin6238Lol exactly. MMA fans are prisoners of the moment. If Aspinall stays busy and continues to dominate, I’ll jump on the Jones-Aspinall train. Until then, Jones and Stipe makes more sense (Legacy v Legacy).

I think Tom is too good of a person to say bad things about Jones. I would love to see Tom go after Jones for being a legitimately awful person who did roids and messed with the UFC
All he's gotta do is call him a wife beating hit&running roid monster and the fight'll be on, but Aspinall is incapable of verbally attacking his opponents I guess
This just sucks. Bulking for 3 years and now having to wait even longer for a fight that should've happened 5 years ago (also Jones was interim champ because he hit and run a pregnant woman bet that meant nothing to him as well 😂)
Jones ducked Francis when he wanted 30 million to fight him, an amount he knows the ufc would nver agree to pay him so he could hide behind the excuse of fighter pay. The moment Francis leaves the ufc Jon is ready to fight Gane for the usual amount of money. Jones said that 10 million was ''way too small'' for him to fight Francis. Jon's coach said that Jon deserved 50 million if he were to take that fight. Dana says Jon asked for 30 million and Jon denies it but Dana said Jon leied and had the text messages on his phone that showed who was telling the truth. Jon is too scared to risk fighting anyone who he knows poses a significant risk to him losing such as Nganou, Aspinal and Pavlovich
He seemed hesitant to fight Stipe at first as well. Kept saying on twitter that Stipe simply didn't bring that much PPV money. Later on he changed his mind though, and I can only imagine it was because he came around to the idea that Stipe was too old and washed up to pose much of a threat to him.
@@AkiMinorikoOfficialgenuinely completely bullshit. Stipe had been running front Jon for months and Jon was constantly calling him out for not signing the papers. Jesus christ you people just make whatever shit up you want to make Jon seem worse

Jon has a more impressive resume at HW than Aspinall. Aspinall's only good wins are over Pavlovich and old men that should've retired over a decade ago like Andrei Arlovski. Aspinall is completely unproven and untested.
@@thequinlanshow3326are you special needs? Jones has only ever fought 1 guy ciryl gane who's lost multiple times, tom destroyed pavlovich with 2 weeks notice and no training or camp.... what logic are you using
Pavlovic in 59s > Gane, and Gane is Jons only fight so thats already wrong. Not only that but Toms won performance of the nice 5 out of his last 6 fights. Regardless, Jon is the champ and so should be fighting the no.1 contender
We shouldn't let Jones & Stipe hold up the entire division. Tom & Pavlovich would be a much harder fight than Stipe. Yet Jones is bashing Tom's belt. How it means nothing but the ONLY thing holding Tom back is JON JONES! WTF... It's easy for Jon Jones to talk because he's getting everything he wants even tho he's landed 0 strikes at HW & won with a quick submission. Good for him but Tom & Pavlovich have proven they are the REAL talent in the HW division. Not this retirement fight with Stipe & Jones..
Everyone hated Colby for sitting out and getting a title shot out of nowhere. But no one has that same energy for Stipe. I love Stipe, but Aspinall is 100% right now the only logical match to make.
True, though even Colby was coming of a dominant win the year before, Stipe will be coming off a dominant KO loss 3 years before (and 4 years since his last win)
I don’t think Stipe deserves it either but there are important differences. Stipe’s a multiple-time defending world champion who’s widely considered the best of his division, none of which is true about Colby. Stipe also isn’t really the one pushing for this fight, he’s accepting the gift of a free title shot by the guy using him as a stepping stone, whereas Leon explicitly said he didn’t want to fight Colby and Colby got it anyway.
@@AkiMinorikoOfficial It's Jones and his management who have told the UFC it's either Stipe or he retires. Jones vs stipe feels like one of those out of prime grudge matches like tito vs chuck lidell 3. Jones vs Aspinall feels like Jones making a statement that he has beat the best of like 4 generations of fighters. That would be unbelievably bad ass.
The bastard (Jon) could have been heavyweight chamo even before DC. He refused and denied going up to Heavyweight when Cain was looking good (tough) and when Stipe was looking good (tough) during his time as chanp. The goofiest part to me is that I always thought Jon had the skills to definitely beat either heavyweight champ that was available when he wasn't cheating or simply causing unnecessary BS in his own life.
The reason I migrated from boxing to the UFC is because the best always fight the best... Well they use too. They're getting skewed towards the big money fights these days.
Props to Tom. I was saying that I seen Tom talking a lot of smack on Stipe while kissing Jones butt like a mofo any chance he got, out of fear of losing a fight he'll never get with Jones but now he's going after him too. Jones is the ultimate decider of all this. Out of Jones, stipe and the UFC, stipe has zero power between the three. The only power he has is what Jones is giving him by only fighting him. Like I was saying, people need to complain online to Jones lol. What's funny is that Tom has a better chance of getting a fight with Jones by prodding his ego than he does kissing his rear. Even though I don't think Jones will fight anyone but stipe, Jone's ego is huge. Just look how he talks online, he's crazy lol.
Cannot agree more, mate. So pleased Tom is finally actually targeting the criminal sociopath who's ducking him. Far as I'm aware, Stipe wanted to fight Tom more than Jones.
It’s clear that Jon and Stipe are both going to retire when they fight, both Dana and the UFC know this that is why they are not going to make any other fights. It’s a shame for Tom as he would most likely run train through both of them.
Wouldn’t it be a power play for Tom to just offer to defend his belt to the rest of the division instead of waiting for the Jon fight? Lol I’m sure it’d piss Jon off at the minimum
Nobody is complaining about Jones fighting a washed Stipe for money and name value. They're complaining that he's doing it at the expense of the division. The CHAMPION blatantly doesn't want to fight the best in the division, and wants to fight a 3 year removed, out of prime fighter, who just returned from the shadow realm to skip all the actual contenders. If he just wants Stipe, then Vacate and it can still main event a PPV with no championship fights and they get their champion's contract money.
With a guy like Jones you can't reason with him with logic. However, attack the man's ego and watch him react. Tom needs to go after Jones, call him on his shit... Bring up all the shit he's pulled outside the ring and then his ego won't let him not take that fight. Boom... Fight made. Aspinall needs to make it nasty and go after him aggressively or he's got not gonna get that fight unfortunately.
Thank you for being the voice so many people need! I can’t stand everyone acting like someone like jones isn’t a scumbag above all other things that are said about him. 🙄
Bruh after this if people still aren't gunna catch onto just how carefully planned Jones' career was, there's just no hope. He started out eager to fight the best guys and all that, but if you pay attention you can see where he starts to have the UFC protecting him so they can build a star, whether that be greasing the judges, trying to sweep it under the rug when he pops for PED's, or giving him title fights against handpicked opponents to heavily increase his likelihood of winning. Undefeated streaks build more hype which translates to more money and the UFC likes money.
*Tom has FINISHED 4 top 10 guys in under 5 mins total time since Stipe last fought.* Stipe is the goat, but he’s 5 years past his prime and Jones is saying “I’m old at 35”. Heavyweight prime is 32-38. Jones is running from Aspinall, Blaydes, Pavlovich etc.

Jones has been ducking Aspinall from the outset. The way J acted over A wanting to get a photo with him, and especially the way he acted when Aspinall suggested a faceoff spoke silent volumes. He acted like Tom was picking on him. I think Jones has a feeling about this one.
