@@paolothorpe1461 blaydes didn’t land a single punch on toms face - his first two punches land on tom’s chest and armpit after the knee, then a leg kick lands clean, then a 1,2 that doesn’t land, then another 1,2 that doesn’t land, and then a right hand followed by a jab neither of which land… and then the fight is over

@@silentassassin423the single punch you're saying didn't land hard is what dropped aspinall. In slow motion it's clear as day that it isn't an underlying injury. He dropped aspinall, as aspinall was going down he takes a bad step attempting to keep himself upright and that causes the injury. It didn't happen out of nowhere it was a direct consequence to the punch that Curtis landed. Saying otherwise would be just as in denial as Sean o malley.

So yes, a hype job, because he's the scariest fighter in the UFC right now if not the scariest we've ever seen, and it generates hype.
Curtis touched him pretty easy, We'll see how this rematch goes in July but if Tom comes out like this again he's not getting out of there with the win.
I mostly agree with you and Tom was a little too eager here and not showing enough respect to Blaydes power , however I just checked it out at a quarter speed and no punch lands cleanly for Blaydes here , and most miss completely

The entire fight goes like this: Tom throws a sloppy flying kick/knee attempt. He's too close, and Blaydes lands a right hand to the chest/neck and a left to the body which pushes Tom out of the air and to Blaydes' right. Blaydes throws a partially checked right outside leg kick. Blaydes initiates a 1-2 combination, and is intercepted by a left hook that lands from Aspinall, followed by a right straight from Aspinall that grazes. Neither of Curtis' hits land. Curtis then throws another 1-2, and misses both because Tom leans back to land a right outside leg kick. Curtis feints a takedown, then Tom throws another right outside leg kick while Curtis throws another 1-2, both of which miss, before Tom steps back and his knee blows up. Nothing Curtis did landed except for the pushing left hook to the body in the first exchange while Tom was flying through the air. Tom actually landed at least one hit to the head, the left hook. The follow up right straight might've landed, it's hard to say from that angle.
Only one of those punches actually landed, play the whole fight in slow mo… but I am scared that if Tom leaves his chin in the air he will get caught by Pavlovich
Blaydes is underrated and Tom needs to be more cautious against him next time out or he might lose properly , that said if you watch it closely at 0.25 speed nothing lands cleanly for Blaydes here , and most punches completely miss , Blaydes mussed the punches Bisping commented about

First off, no. He's IC. That means he's already earned it. Him giving Blaydes the rematch is why he's the real champ. He's the reigning defending champ. Jones is a paper champ.

B.S. Curtis Blaydes was going to knock him out either way. It was the intense pressure that Blaydes was bringing and Aspinal trying to kick Curtis Blaydes is what hurt his knee.

Curtis is inconvenient for Tom. He also works in the shuttle and does not lag behind in speed. Tom could have fallen from the first blow, there is no accident here. Fights make styles.

With his size and weight to move around like that can just be taxxing on the body. Chito vera beat Omally 1 because of a fluke injury tko, Nobody is saying chito is better than Omalley. This one wasn't even caused by blaydes. Aspinal MURDERS Jones in all aspects of the game and it doesn't matter what you as a casual meatrider thinks. My knees still hurt even more now that i’ve seen this. I have no cartilage in my knees and it pisses me off when i cant even carry my kids around without collapsing to my knees most of the time.

People who make the excuse about Aspinals knee giving out clearly haven't studied this fight closely. The two times Aspinal tries to kick Blaydes were countered by straights. And the second counter connected right on Aspinals chin. I think Aspinal got beaten fair and square. Blaydes is a big tough dude who is often underestimated at heavyweight. Styles make fights, and Blaydes is perfectly suited to beat Aspinal. Aspinal won't be able to touch Jones before he's submitted in the first round. Blayes vs Aspinal 2 is the fight to make once Jones beats Stipe and retires.

He threw a leg kick but I think Blaydes checked the kick enough where it just tore apart inside the leg Still I hade Blaydes winning the fight to start
