Not trying to take anything away from Tom, but he’s not as well rounded as you think. He has very fast hands and decent footwork.. but that’s about as far as it goes. He really doesn’t have much of any wrestling, and he doesn’t have the best fight IQ. He’s somewhat reckless. That’s what got him hurt against Blaydes.
Huh?! Blaydes was a freak accident, not being reckless. He has submissions and never been handled by a wrestler, has taken fighters down at will and subbed them with relative ease, add all this to his gameplan shifts, striking and footwork.. yeah hes pretty damn well rounded, on top of being young for a succesful HW. @@cjdig86
Tom might be the perfect heavyweight build. Great size, speed, power, and a well-rounded skill set. Once he fights Jon or Jon retires, I believe he will become one of the greatest of all time

Aspinal is wayyy too bouncy and quick on his feet for Alex. Tom is a good boxer. Just gotta use his jab and feint more. Chin down hands up. Body jabs etc.
sergi gave him to much room for those kicks and punches to land. as soon as sergi cut the distance with tom, he was able to land the one, two on him which stunned him but gave him too much room to breathe, counter react and was able to reposition himself *first* to land that counter cross to knock down sergi.
his foot placement was too far to land the second combo on tom when he “tagged” him, that’s also was the reason sergi didn’t win cause he didn’t capitalize on it when he stunned him cause he was scared of getting hit back even tho he had the health advantage at that time and tom was in the position sergi wanted him to be in but he didn’t place his foot in the proper position to hit tom with that perfect angle.
there’s only one way to fight in a certain position and situation, that goes for both contenders if you know what I mean, just like there’s only one way to get better. (ADAPT)
Some fighters are very brutal and don’t care … some want to make sure they win … but some actually wait if they have enough time to acknowledge they are KO they will wait till the ref intervene
Man he would have trained and dreamed to be a international champ for his whole life. When the prize is right there in front of you, he gets the knock down, you don't just pull back and hope that the ref calls it early... And this is coming from someone that hates seeing people get hit while they are basically already knocked out. Especially in the moment he didn't look completely KO'd, he could have gone into a defense and recovered if he didn't finish it.
I definitely wouldn’t say nerves. Tom was just faster and caught him with precision. Tom has a very special kind of talent to put someone like Pavlovich down that fast.

No way is he taller. You need specs. Plus Tom stands wider and lower, but look when they square up. Tom is clearly the bigger man. They do actually weigh and measure these guys before a fight you know. They don't just ask them to fill out a form and take it on trust.
Bro I know Im late but in the K.O Tom landed 3 main punches in less than 3 seconds, but in between the first one that he threw and the other two punches he realized in less than a second that the other guy was out (you can even see how he realizes) so he added two more punches in less than two seconds, literally everything happens in 3 seconds UNBELIEVABLE.
