@@kettleghost I KNOWWW, I’m 75% sure that the reason people have started caring about them is because of the videos and *images* I made and because there’s been a TomTord hate train lately :’)
@@kettleghost “Awful in the best way possible” is the perfect way to describe their relationship. Also the TomTord hate is from the fact that Sinsworld is bad and it’s kinda a toxic relationship- idk I’m not big on the ship lol
Tord:my job is to TORMENT tom forever Matt:my job is giving guns to a bear and killing his parents Edd:is edd Tom:the victim who suffers and have been traumatized by bears with shotguns shooting my parents and CRHISTMAS
@@Cyberscrewed11 also in a clip from Casting Call, when Christopher bingham is reading for tom, he says ''Holy Trombone On A Polo Stick!''. Matt Then Replys, ''Yeah, We Really Dont Do That Anymore'', And Tom goes Into Shock, Then Into Sadness.
I feel like Beyond especially seems to hate Tom for no specified reason, maybe it’s not very noticeable in the episodes, but it is in the Instagram pics… like, the best friends picture has the poor man being used as a seat by his friends? The heck? :( I get the slapstick humor but they could tone it down, or you know, share the pain with Edd and Matt as well. I feel like Beyond is a little too biased and it keeps me from enjoying it.
Yeah, I completely agree with you on this. I know Tom being the blunt of the jokes has been a thing in the original eddisodes and stuff, but M A N did they intensify that trope recently.
Yeah... I never really saw slapstick in the recent episodes that much but they still find ways to out Tom. He feels so... *awkward* in Beaster Bunny. At this point the whole 'Tom hate' thing feels kinda forced and they might've just brought it back to make it feel like older episodes, but the way they do it just isn't as good :/
@@Cyberscrewed11 you know, even with the whole Bing issue aside, I just honestly feel like the Beyond crew isn’t as good as the legacy one when it comes to writing episodes. They’re not terrible… but they’re kinda mediocre compared to older works. I feel like they’re kinda aware of it and the “Tom being bullied” jokes are a way for them to… I guess, get some revenge? Obviously character and real person are different, but I feel like the crew wants to have it both ways, where characters and real person are different, but you also have to treat fictional characters like they’re real people or that’s “disrespectful” (like the whole “we don’t want you shipping them or making NSFW of them”). It’s just… I’m sad. I was happy when Fanservice 2 came out, but if more Eddsworld also means all of this… I’d rather have the old small not very popular fandom.
@@analyticaltomato I'm a little curious, what happened with Bing? There's been some stuff going around about him recently but I'm not that informed on the situation.
@@Cyberscrewed11 we found out through a former friend of his through Twitter that he attempted to sexually harass her, by getting her drunk and then feeling her up despite her trying to resist him and constantly telling him “no”. Luckily she managed to escape the situation, but it obviously affected her for a long time. Now, instead of apologising, or even denying the allegations to at least let people think the might have been in the right, or that the allegations were fabricated, Bing decided to completely shut down anyone who tried to ask anything about the situation, deleted all his posts on Twitter, deleted his Discord, and went on hiatus on his YT channel. Matt also had his back the whole time, and together they made sure most of the fandom never even knew about Bing’s crime (they didn’t hesitate to kick Jamie Spicer Lewis or PipToons when it was discovered they were groomers, probably because most Eddsworld fans don’t care about the animators themselves and Jamie wasn’t a popular _face_ in the crew, but Bing is known to be the producer, so he has to be in the crew even when it’s obvious he’s… well. An horrible person.) oh yeah, and bing also turned it around and attempted to sue the woman for harassment… because she tagged him on Twitter asking for him to take responsibility for his orribile actions. Obviously that went nowhere, because well, that wasn’t harassment, that was her asking him for basic human decency. Let me be perfectly clear: I don’t like the Beyond crew for a number of reasons, but I know some of them are kind of silly and unimportant (like them preaching LGBT acceptance but not talking about the canon LGBT characters- it’s annoying, but like, I can live without it, and I wouldn’t “cancel” them for it.) but this isn’t just them joking that fans are stupid because they ship or like Tord and stuff- these are crimes. And I love Eddsworld, both classic and legacy, but beyond just reached a point in which I don’t want to support it anymore. And it makes me so sad because I was so happy for it… but I think that the fandom, even the parts that are a little toxic, keep Edd’s world spinning better than the canon crew right now. If you like Beyond, that’s cool, that’s no issue, you can like the art without liking the artist; however I feel like we as a fandom should admit when our idols do wrong, especially when the wrong is _this_ serious. I apologise for the long comment.
I feel like I've failed as a friend in the fact that my bff has never watched eddsworld and I've been in the fandom for like a year now (I know it's not that much but look)
