I'm from Boston. I've watched every Tom Brady game since day one when Drew Bledsoe got knocked silly against the Jets. He came in, and the next thing you know, we're winning our very first Super Bowl Championship. And we all know the rest of this incredible story don't we? It always makes me laugh when people try to say was it Belichick or Brady that brought New England all that success. Are they serious? Sure, Bill's the greatest coach ever, but look at his winning percentage in Cleveland, and then with Bledsoe in New England. I think with Bledsoe it was 5-11. Then Brady came in and the ball started rolling folks. The numbers don't lie people. The numbers don't lie! So, thank you Tom. Thank you for 20 years of excellence. 20 years of winning. 20 years of pure excitement. 20 years of comeback after exciting comeback. 20 years of taking no-name players, and turning them into stars on the field. 19 years of seeing my team make the playoffs. 20 years in one uniform, and half of those years making it to the Super Bowl! Now that's what's incredible, and that's what we'll never, ever see again in the history of sports! Once again, thank you Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. TB12. Go on to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and make a good team a great team. Go take Tampa to the Super Bowl this season. Let them win it in their home stadium. Their a good organization, with good ownership, and a good coach. Show everyone you can still do it. Belichick has made a lot of mistakes as a head coach of the patriots , cutting/trading certain players, not paying guys, benching Malcolm butler and ultimately costing them the super bowl, but he continued winning with the help of Tom Brady, but the biggest mistake Belichick and the patriots could ever make is not bringing back Tom Brady. if i'm a guy on that team i'm thinking if they don't even appreciate tom enough to give him an extension to play out his career as a patriot, what chance do i got? this is like what the bulls did with Michael jordan. Belichick can still coach for a long time and might even win another super bowl down the road, but this is a bad look for the patriots and a big mistake. tom already proved bill wrong 3 years ago in 2017 when bill wanted tom out and jimmy g in, and all Brady did since then was take them to 3 straight super bowls and won 2 of them. should have won all 3 if butler wasn't benched but ok 2 is still good. then Brady wins his 6th ring against the rams and the patriots don't think tom deserves an extension? that's baffling, but congratulations Bill, you finally got what you wanted, Tom is out, it's you're Team Now, let's see how you do next year without Brady.

Being a life long Patriots fan, Its sad to see him go but it had to happen at some point. His play was slipping, yes we had 0 receivers I understand that. But it was time to start new. I love tommy and did for as long I can remember. im 24 so hes the only QB ive ever known really when It comes to a full time QB, I wish him well in Tampa and also plan on going to a bucs game when they play against the giants in metlife.

I’ve been watching football and a Patriots fan religiously since 1993. I got to watch him come to fruition and disappear. At first I was mad but now I’m just... sad. Tom is responsible for so many great memories with friends, Super Bowls, and a feeling of pride amongst us Massholes. The silver lining here is that the bandwagon fans will now finally disappear.

I'm a fan of a different team, but I've never hated Brady or the Patriots dynasty - in fact I've always rooted for him and Belichick to continue building their legacy. I am so incredibly grateful that I got to watch the GOAT make history in real time, and honestly Brady leaving New England makes me emotional. "End of an era" gets thrown around lightly, but this truly is the end of an era.
