Dawg being a backup is a great career. You get around 1 million a year just to ride the bench and get a free workout in everyday for practice. Plus you get a great field view from the sideline and don’t have to take much hits
You have to admit it would still be a pretty dope career though...all those different cities and experiences and be able to roam the sideline during games hell ya I'll take that.
You say that like it’s an insult. Everyone who grew up playing sports would love to be good enough to be in the NFL, even as a backup. Being a backup NFL QB is literally one of the best jobs in the world. People talk shit about backup QBs but if you’re an NFL backup that means you’re one of the best 100 QBs in the world.
People saying hes gonna be a journeyman backup like thats a bad thing. his dad and uncle made great money and saw some nfl play at qb, mfs are jeaaaaloussss 😂

I definitely agree. His release is absolutely perfect and he’s got some juice behind it too. He’ll definitely be under recruited and then hopefully transfer. I wish he was at least an inch taller and closer to 200-215lbs though. But that prototype hype isn’t everything these days. If you can play, you’ll get a chance to play no matter your size. I’ll be keeping and eye for him. Because I love the way he throws a beautiful and very catchable ball!
His cousin or brother I don't know which one. Well he's just signed with UTSA from the portal out of Colorado. If he's not being recruited big as a junior he might as well sign with one of those two schools.
Whats crazy is tom brady looking at college careeer and stats and big games was obviously the best qb in the draft. If he didnt take his shirt off he probably wouldve been a 2nd-3rd round pick 😂
I live in Texas , I see it all the time, a QB train all the way to the NFL combine. Look good in shorts, but we want know until he get hit in the mouth a few times. Brook Purdy look like Mr Irrelevant last night against the Ravens.
Nahhh… look at his baby face. Late bloomer. That’s right around where he should be until he starts maturing when he’s 18-20. He’ll end up being 6”2-6”4 215lbs. As a late bloomer myself (Jr. yr 6”0 175ish and Freshman year of college 6”4 205) it’s better he’s not worrying about bulking right now. Keep those mechanics strong!
He goes to the same school I go to. His dad trains me and a couple of other kids in middle school so we can get ready for high school. I love having him and his dad at Brook Hill
Hell yeah I easily see a great career in this kids future. Journeyman, 14 teams played for, 1 ring as a back up. This guy is gonna be bringing in the dough
@@theqbplug he goes to the same school as me, Brook Hill. His dad trains me, Jonah, and some of the other middle school and high school football players. I live them being at our school, he’s an amazing athlete, and a great student
@@k1ng_chamberlainIt's fantastic if you're someone who is going to school to get a degree that you are going to use to get a job. But if you're going to play school to play football D1 isn't just D1. You would think someone being called the next Tom Brady would be more than a 3 star recruit with two G5 offers.
He plays a kids game as a man and has been trained his whole life to do so so he should be a decent QB lol but with that said I'm not hating nor did I ever want to be a QB. I make more money then this kid or a backup QB and didn't train my whole life to do so yea...
Louisiana Tech should offer him a scholarship. However, I believe he will have many more scholarship offers from other University's. Exceptionally talented young man. Congratulations, young man.
I would like to see him at Texas State. I'm actually thrilled that my Almamater is mentioned. Remember Bobcats QB Spurgeon Whynn, 6th Round 183rd pick, Cleveland Browns, was one of the 6 QB drafted ahead of Brady, 6th Round 199th pick, in the 2000 draft class. Go Bobcats!
It’s not right to say a junior in high school is a clone of the greatest QB of all time. Why not just say he is a clone of his dad and uncle whom had a losing record in every one of the 31 seasons they’ve played in combined
Don’t put this great kid down be positive say hey you’re doing a great job. Keep up the good work kid be all you can be keep all the negativity out of your head because a lot of people are going to be jealous of you.
So to the haters in the comments talking about his dad and uncle, wtf did your dad do ??? Did they play in the NFL ????? As a QB no less , fans are dumb , this comment section proves it
People not to stop comparing high schoolers to top 5 QBs of all time. Puts top much pressure on these kids. Imagine being a top 100 QB all time but because you were compared to a top 5 QB all time you were a "bust"
Top 5?? You’re saying Tom Brady is Top 5?? Tom Brady is absolutely #1 Quarterback in History .. and it’s not even close.. he holds literally every record for quarterbacks and has 7 Super Bowl Rings .. also a record
People in these comments have no idea how good the McCowns actually were. Yes, they were backups most years but they were always 2 of the best backups in the league and always played solid when they did play. They were honestly better than a few of the starters in the league.
I hope u know that there is a hudge difference between college and the NFL so that doesn’t mean he will start yes the Texans qb is shit but he is in the nfl
@@Red30Music1 University of Houston my dude. That’s why I referenced Dana Holgerson in my initial comment. And yeah I’ve got a pretty good idea of how big the gap between NCAA and NFL is. I lettered three years D1, and had plenty of teammates go on to put some work in at the pro level.
