Keener had a genius for saying exactly what everyone wanted to hear. A simple interest in Theo's lonely suspicions, an acknowledgement of Dragov's interest in his convict family, a mutual interest in revenge against the JTF, a very simple "You're right." to Conley's insanity. Man was the fakest snake in New York, and every Rogue just ate it up like Christmas dinner. He never meant a word of any of it.
According to more Division lore… it looks like Keener, Faye Lau, Schaffer and a ex-True Son named Lewis all confirmed… these people were all connected and investigating someone named Calvin… a high ranking US government official and the leader of the Hunters and Black Tusk’s real boss. I don’t think Keener went rogue due to the indecisive nature of the JTF… or the failure of the Dark Zone… He obviously witnessed something which made him go rogue… something he should not have seen… but got lucky and did. I mean he is the prodigal son of the Division… I don’t think someone like that breaks easily. something which Faye and Schaffer are so scared of that Faye went rogue to assassinate Ellis and Schaffer defected to the Division…
Aaron Keener: Whatever game you're playing it won't work. You can't defeat me. My Division 2 agent: No I know, BUT HE CAN. (My Division 1 agent in all of his glory)
@@nathanbolinger7918 in the State of the game for Division 2 in the past year, the community managers go back and forth in saying you D2 agent is and isn't the D1 agent. It pretty much at this point that the D2 agent can be your D1 agent or a completely different agent. It's pretty much up to your interpretation. The only fact we do know is the D2 agent was in New York state when the DC beacon activated. So it's up to the player now that the agent we play was a completely different agent from the 1st game or the 1st game's agent wondering New York assisting settlements since New York city was pretty much stabilized at that point of the game.
Ghost of my Division 1 agent that died in Base of operation assault: *Jojo posing menacingly* Me: I can't beat the DiviShit out of you without getting closer.
There used to be a "The Real Sam Fisher" blog, which basically pretended the Splinter Cell games were based on a real guy. Plus, the whole "Tom Clancy's..." game branding started with creating the Rainbow Six book and game simultaneously.
Exact same thing I said the last video, really they should start making movies and series. Someone told me in the last trailer that this videos are developed by Blur Studio, the same studio that made some of the Love Death + Robots' chapters. These people are so good.
Honestly alot of game devs should consider doing movies with how masterful their videos in game and trailers come out. Be alot better then recycling old cartoon series (transformers for example) and other old movies as much as they do >.
K1LLF1GHT3R they’re talking about out Division 1 agent because this DLC takes place in New York which is where Division 1 took place, i highly doubt that we actually see our Division 1 agent in this DLC but it’d be amazing if Ubisoft added that in as like a side mission or whatever for those who played Division 1
The Division aint as glorious as they used to make us think Traitor Agents killing Agents Hunters killing Agents Prfft even Rikers and Hyenas killing Agents Sucks to even be an Agent lol
And just when you though LMB is not gonna come back and kill you anymore, they literally come back as White Tusk. Like they were said "You think you can hide from the LMB?"
I like how its presented. Agents are elite soldiers basically but they're not super human. Throw enough people with guns at em and they can die, especially since they work in 4 man cells.
ACGearsandArms brhu keener and all the other villians in division 2 had realalistic and believable motives coperad to divison 2 that litterly made him a cartoon villain
linux_74 That wasn’t expressed in the past trailers. That was a profile on targets. They were targets. This trailer does a better job showing them as people.
Nishino Kazuki I’m aware, that’s not what I meant. It’s the way it’s been shown specifically in this trailer that is well done. They’re not acting like soldiers or in a profile, but people. They talk to Keener like people and he talks to them like the mastermind he is.
If its the recording i think you're talking about, he actually says "maybe I'm bored and want to spice things up, But no, that's something made up villains would do..." nothing about comic books though.
yeah well, im sure dragov is in charge of the rikers, which gives him a large portion of soldiers to command. i think thats why he said ''we'll keep theo safe.''
@@bostonianful he mentioned something about theos dad being killed by the division so I doubt hes a rogue agent more likely hes the child (in my honest opinion likely of someone we killed in div 1) whos a tech genius and looking for some payback (another reason I feel this way is in his seens he has div tech but not the glowing circles unlike keener and the other rogue agents)
@@jessicamason2526 theo is a rogue agent though, he was part of the division and went rogue when the division somehow became responsible for his father's death.
@@bostonianful well ill have to take you word for it as I havnt seen any thing on him other then the video so I suppose you got confirmation on this from another source lol
@@jessicamason2526 i think in the gameplay trailer, it briefly showed his backstory, but its also been shown on the division wiki website. it says the following: ''Theo Parnell is a former Navy RPA pilot and mechanical engineer who was recruited by The Division for his technical expertise and innovative problem-solving. His psychological evaluation suggests that he shows extensive, analytical thinking but he is reserved in trusting authority. Recent investigations in Parnell's past that he has a prior connection to Keener, and this relationship may have factored into Parnell going rogue.''
Keener's influence is strong, the crazy part is no matter what angle dude plays on the people he recruits and or seeks to team with he has some validation to his motives. He initially was betrayed and left for dead by his own. The Division started this chaos and is fighting the beast it created.
I found a flaw in the cinematic and the animation, in the cinematic keener is shown virus gassing the trading post, but in the animation Dragov assaults the base with Riker support and then plants the virus. And in the cinematic it is shown that keener was there when the virus is realized among the trading post, he is heading to it as the place is being gassed.
Being a Division Agent may be a thankless job, maybe no one will even know you even there, you may be left behind to fend for yourself but see those people, those kids who tried to survive past these dark days, I know why I do this, I do this for them, so that they can smile again. That why I will hunt you down Keener, for the life you had take, for the people you had betray and I will stop you
With all the old factions coming back with new leaders it raises the question "What was the point of killing their leaders when they'll just come back with new ones that we have to kill again?"
Ikr every game with a boss u don't kill the boss but u kill the men surrounding the boss because in every with a boss they tell you if u kill the boss first someone else will take his or her place
Because they factions were still there even after we killed their leaders, the point of killing gheir leaders was because without them the factions were much weaker and less organized.
Enclave Officer well since they collapsed into smaller groups, some of the lmb were hired by the black tusk as said in the stream and some probably joined with the jtf as there is no point of being in the lmb
Imagine going through the time and effort to setup a camera, link it to display on like 20 monitors, and live stream to them as enemy Division agents burst into a room looking for you. All that effort and you could’ve just planted an IED.
What can we say the man likes to play mind games to. I mean he always says hes always 1 step ahead of us. Seeing as to how he had time to set that up proves it, not killing you on a whim just sinks the knife of paranoia in deeper.
Yeah I noticed that too. Maybe some former LMBs decided to side with the Division and JTF. Also dont forget in the first game LMB were kidnapping and forcing JTF members to join their side or risk execution.
Callsigh Torappu If some of the LMB joined the Black Tusk, I’m sure would have joined the JTF. Probably so they wouldn’t be prosecuted for their actions, though it could be a plethora of things.
Imagine World of Warcraft-ish Horde vs Alliance kind of branched storyline where you experience the story from Rogue agent or Division agent's point of view, both side fighting for their own agenda. Then there's ongoing warfare between Rogue agent and Division agent, eliminating each other collect dog tags for progression or unlock stuffs , it can be AI division agent though so don't have to make whole world into open PVP . I know I'm asking too much but one can dream.
Agents acting under their own motivations? Yes. More of this. And maybe PvEvP for territory that gives clans rewards when we go back to DC, using the concepts and mechanics from WoNY? Make clans important next! You're doing great!
This would literally screw over anyone not playing in a decent sized clan. I don't see them doing this. Anyway, all these Agents are the antagonists in WoNY who we will be hunting down.
@@brynphillips9957 well, seeing as we're talking about a game mode exclusive to Clans, I can see those without one feeling excluded, but that's why you make/join clans, right? Meet people of like mind and cooperate to accomplish things? Individuals have PvP modes in Conflict (which should be improved itself) and the DZ. If you're a Clan that WANTS to participate, you'll be motivated to grow your Clan. Clans SHOULD be important. A competitive PvP arena (like Last Stand) would do nicely, making Clans more than an optional tag and shop. I'm talking about ADDING to the game, not taking away from it.
@@NeonTheWolf - that's what I was thinking with the Last Stand-ish thing like Burn Bobquist was saying. DZ offshoot that is about Territory that Clans can participate in (since their size means power + need of supplies for their base) They exert power over other Factions and Clans, and are rewarded with stuff for your Clan base (probably) Which is what I'm thinking happens next - Agents part ways and start trying to live in the world the way they deem suitable, organizing among themselves, and creating City-States out of the Settlements
I would totally watch an animated series done in this art style and maturity level as in the trailer. Come on guys... tell us this wasn’t just a trailer...
Nick Bogenn suddenly your division 1 agent is identified as a trainer. It can be no. Then you think about it that character essentially leveled the city. Got betrayed then suddenly clicks. They pissed off the wrong agent...
@@sectrooper965 see funny enough I'd be kinda ok with that because then we have a revenge story... I mean it would still suck but it's better than not knowing
Leon very true. It would be quite heartbreaking for a big Division fan if when you first boot up the Warlords of New York DLC you are greeted with a cut Scene of your Division 1 agent heavily wounded and trying to crawl away while Arron just walks up to your agent then looks at the camera (ie you the player) then shoots them then the cut scene ends and you begin the DLC Just to make it more screwed up what if your Division 1 agent knew Arron perhaps as a friend or were trained by him Now that's messed up
@@sectrooper965 and while I'd immediately ask why my Nomads didnt kick in it would at the same time give us a personal reason to hunt Keener down (and make the inevitable twist where Keener was a good boy the whole time harder)... again I'd prefer a throw away line about how he and Ramos are off being badasses somewhere but anything is better than nothing.
Pretty cool, still would be something to give some of the games a well made tv series, ghost wildlands, R6S, just a few changes and it be something worth paying and watching
any of ya'll notice the dudes with JTF on their uniforms were actually LMB? I know it's animated but the models for the JTF soldiers are the same as the LMB models in the water plant mission.
One of the lead designers on the game asked us if we would like to see a single player game in the Division universe. Make it look like this, cell-shaded and cartoony.
My division 2 character:" you took everything from me " Aaron Keener:" I don't even know who you are " My division 2 character:" you will " But seriously tho we need a Devision Anime.
Nightfury Owner Arron Keener: join me and we can destroy The Division together Division 1 agent: l will never join you Keener Arron Keener: (sigh) such a disappointment I've been watching you since you arrived here and I really could have used someone like you but alas (Arron Keener shoots your Division 1 agent in the head) Arron Keener: l guess it wasn't meant to be
