+Heribert Schnösel The GSGN-9 Is the German special forces they just use "Counter terrorism Unit" to make it seem as if it was a CTU. The SEK is the actual German CTU.

+Heribert Schnösel The SEK is a better, more advanced version of the normal police. The GSG9 is an actual special unit operating both in and outside of Germany. The SEK is called for any dangerous situation wether normal day stuff or when guns are involved. The GSG9 is mainly for terrorism stuff. SEK members are normal officers with special training. GSG9 members need to pass hard tests and have years of service done. Every major city and all states have their own SEK unit similar to SWAT teams. So basically the SEK is a unit operating for their state while the GSG9 is the unit operation for the police as a whole not just a state. Clearly they would take the GSG9 for the game because they are the ones operating for the Federal Police. If you are talking about how they look however you are right. GSG9 members won't wear jeans or anything similar to the ingame models. They look exactly like normal SEK members during a standard operation.

The game with only the original operators, perhaps with a few first original DLCs was amazing. Even though some gadgets were not realistic you had a feeling like "Yes, that could work I guess.". Once they added that stupid, absolutely out-of-this-world grappling hook I stopped playing.

+maximilianello I agree. What the heck is up with the character design of "IQ" (the female operator)? She looks totally ridiculous with those purple highlights on her hoody + purple shoes + long tufts of blonde hair obscuring her vision. It completely negates any feeling of authenticity if she's supposed to be with GSG-9. It's good character design, but it doesn't fit with the aesthetic.

This isn't true, goo.gl/NGBUa9 this is how the gsg9 operators looks like nowadays. they have the time to change the clothing they only wait for a signal on their pagers, after the signal they will drive in the operation central and get a briefing/planing the mission and gear up.

I know tgus us a pretty old comment but well who cares. In RL the GSG9 wears normal combat suits like shown in the photo ( a exception for this is for example when they do suprise arrests where they wear plain normal clothes to blend in before arresting someone.) The models ingame are modeled after the SEK and MEK (Spezialeinsatzkommando - Special Operations Commando / Mobiles Einsatzkommando- Mobile Operations Commando) witch are the special force units of the state polices in germany. (the GSG9 is the federal police). And while they also have special suits for combat it isnt that uncommon that SEK and MEK Officers get on the scene in their normal clothes. This happens when a sudden incident happens (like a hostage situation or similar) and officers get called from their homes so they arrive at the scene in their normal clothes and a balaclava ( to protect their identity). So yeah they are not directly modeled after the GSG9 but I have to say that it gives them a pretty unique look that makes them diffrent from the other operators. And to be really fair. Realisticly in every match of RS6-S this operators fire around 100 times more bullets than the GSG9 did in its entire lifespan (only counting operations)

Thats not the GSG9. That are normal "SEKs" (special forces for the 16 "countrys" in Germany). The GSG9 is equiped with millitary stuff and the last and best group (After the KSK) for hunting terrorist.

lol i am a german man who serves in the german armed forces (deutsche bundeswehr) and i can say we don’t have this type of tech 😆 the german government doesn’t fund the military so we couldn’t afford it even if we had it
