Tom Cruise is a bonafide movie star, who seems to defy aging with every new movie he makes, and he does it all with a charismatic smile. Cruise starred in some of the biggest films of the 1980s including Risky Business, Top Gun, The Color of Money, and Rain Man. By the 1990s he was one of the highest-paid actors in the world earning an average 15 million dollars a picture and he continued with blockbuster hits like Interview with the Vampire, Mission: Impossible and Jerry Maguire. His biggest franchise to date has been the series of Mission Impossible movies, earning a total of 3 billion dollars worldwide and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. The other thing that isn’t slowing down is his involvement in the Church of Scientology, which has made him the single most powerful person in the organization. He is no doubt the face of the church, but at the same time he seemingly makes us forget about his ties to the mysterious organization, with movies like Top Gun: Maverick, which saved the movie industry just a couple summers ago.

After he got into Scientology I disliked him. I am so glad Nicole got out and married Keith Urban. So glad Katie got out and away from him.

The weirdness of Tom Cruise has turned me off from seeing any of his movies. I totally get that there are a lot of imperfect people in the acting business, but sometimes it becomes impossible (no pun there) to stop thinking about the weirdness when they are on screen. This is one of those cases for me.

Yup! It says a lot about people who aren't that religious, people that aren't that embedded into Jesus that a fan of any other book fiction is a weirdo to them.. Speaks a volume about Christianity

From the outside looking in, there isn't any religion that doesn't appear somewhat nutty; zombies, talking animals, walking on water, golden tablets, magic underwear and the like. That said, any religion that would intentionally separate you from your children is misguided at best.

I used to live in Madison, IN and, I took my kids to 2 P.C. Doctors / husband and, wife team who have a close friendship with him! No, joke! They all spend the summers together and, they all go cruising up and down the Ohio River where they camp out In Louisville, KY. They take lots of pictures and, seriously they have pictures blown up into huge ones and, frame them in the different exam rooms. I had asked about one of the pictures yrs ago and, she says, yes it is and, then, she told me the little story of their friendship. So, if one can have a friendship with people who aren’t into Scientology, why cut off your child and, why would you allow a church to dictate your relationship with others and family members? No religion/ cult is worth those connections to the people in your life, life is too short to begin with to allow someone to have full control over you as individual and, a human being! 0:26

I admire Cruise's acting choices and most of his productions. As for his Scientology beliefs, any religion that forces you to separate ties from friends and family is a cult, pure and simple. He can believe what he wants, but when it affects others close to you in such a negative way, including your own kids, then that is crossing a line from a spiritual belief into something else.

I might not like what scientology stands for but Suri is old enough to choose weather she wants a relationship with her father or not 18 yrs. old though she and mum Katie converted back to Catholic similar to Nicole Kidman and her adopted children with Cruise Isabella 32 Dec 22nd and Connor 30 January 17th 2025 a few days before Joseph Duggar does so on 20th January also Inauguration day. my own parents are divorced though they did so when their children myself and younger brother were adults not when we were impressionable children. some people aren't meant to be married notice how Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been married 18 years next week 25th June Daughter Sunday Rose turns 16 July 7th and Daughter Faith Margaret turns 14 Dec 28th Sunday will also be eligible to receive her US driver's license in January 2025 at the mid point of her Jr year of high school and Faith will be eligible to receive hers in June 2027 between her Jr & Sr. year of high school my dad will have had his license for 50 yrs. in June 2026 and at one point also had a CDL in the early 1980s and drove a Budwiser beer delivery truck and a school bus for a little while when he drove the truck the average cost per gallon of gas in Massachusetts was .86 while when I would've gotten my license in Sept 2001 gas Cost 1.04 so to fill a Crown Victoria LX Sport for example would've cost around $20.00 while to fill a Chrysler Sebring LXI it would've cost $17.00
