That's right, I even wrote a poem that describes his beauty. I encourage to read. I am the author of this poem. "In the Cold Moonlight" It's dark all around, I can't sleep I look at the window, I imagine how ... Cold moonlight, Falls on Your face Your eyes are bluer, And Your face is pale. Your hair is flying, In this light from the moon, They are even more black Their glow appears navy blue. The wind blows them away, And You see the gloom, And cover Your eye with them It highlights Your somber look.
Years ago, he was behind me on his motorcycle at the Laurel Canyon freeway onramp red signal light. I turned around & lifted my sunglasses to get a better look at him. He started laughing. When the signal turned green, he pulled up right beside me, lifted his sunglasses, mimicking me...laughing...and sped off.
His eyes and his glares are so intense. I see his interviews in his younger days and I can see how hard he’s worked and he’s very mature for his age back then. There’s a reason why he is where he is. Not just by a pretty face for sure.
He had a lot of flaws that he worked on in his childhood and youth. I once read his biography but forgot all his deficits. He wanted to become an actor, so he worked really really heard to fix his deficits, I think one of them was a speech impediment pr something.
@@santiagofranco91952 No offense as well, but ditto on your post Tom playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man just the same. Differing opinions is what makes the world go 'round tho. Peace out
I met a Camera Assistant who worked with him on the musical Rock of Ages. At one point they were on stairs that weren't wide enough for both of them to pass. Tom picked her up and put her on the other side of him (where she was trying to go). She said "I know this is going to sound weird, but when I looked in his eyes, I felt like everything was going to be alright".

Tom Cruise is a born superstar ! He was and he still is. To this day, there’s no other actor quite like Tom and there may never be once he’s gone . He’s the last true Hollywood movie star.
Impressive thing about Tom is he so humble & down to earth for the megastar he is.... very few people are down to earth & humble as he is he doesn't have any ego
He didn't even go to an acting school. He just took lessons for a couple of months then shot a movie with F. F. Coppola The Outsiders, then has the guts to say No to him for the main role in Rumble Fish, just to shoot a film with an unknown director, Paul Brickman... And here came Risky Business! Indeed it was very risky but it pay off! You had me at hello.
Omg, his watchful gaze, his smile that's almost too big to be contained by his face, his shifting dimples, that shyness beneath the confidence, even the spots on his chin. I could eat him up at that age. Rebecca De Mornay got very lucky!!
I know that nobody really cares about my feelings, but this is, for example, a poem I wrote to and about Tom Cruise. It can be said that I dedicate this poem to Tom. I encourage to read :) I am the author of this poem. "Playing The Piano" I sit at the piano I'm starting the "Moonlight Sonata" to play Sunlight streams in through the windows It's time of day. I sit at the piano Sunlight streams in through the windows I look into the distance I imagine I'm playing for someone... I play the piano I look through the windows Nobody looks at me But I'm playing for someone. And when I play like that, I smile I'm not crying, 'Cause I imagine That I'm looking at him... Evening I'm still playing "Moonlight Sonata" The moonlight shines Through the windows from outside. It's late evening Dusk has fall, And my play on the piano It ends with a low, sombre chord.
Let's add this up: Tom's dyslexic, barely finished high school, no college, 1 acting workshop that lasted a few months, was going to travel around after high school. On the other hand, you look like a movie star, have an incredible work ethic and are a genuinely good person.
His mother was a southerner but she was not overprotective which is unusual for a southern mother! I'm a southerner and a southern mother myself so yes I know did there is a battle inside our souls to give our kids room and Independence but it does eventually pay off his Blessed Mother as he says in a previous recording was a beautiful soul. And she stayed physically beautiful until she was 80 years old. And she died looking like an angel. One of the reasons that Tom turned out so wonderful was because of his wonderful mother I haven't studied anything upon his father but he was probably good DNA contributor. I guess I'm going to have to look up more details about his dad. He's got so much gumption gumption to the big key in everything!
@Tomi Igo no they're not all mad and also they let you leave. scientology doesn't let you leave and if you escape they will destroy your entire life and the lives of your family. that's not a religion. that's basically the mafia or a drugs cartel.
I saw Risky Business in the theater. My brother-in-law had to be with me because it was rated R. I can't believe 1983 was freaking THIRTY SEVEN YEARS ago. Yikes! Growing up in DFW, Texas, I used to watch the Bobbie Wygant interviews on Channel 5 NBC all the time. These archived clips are awesome and nostalgia filled for me.
He was much more likable when he was younger. He actually had a bit of modesty. And somehow his looks changed. He was very cute when he was a kid, I find him reptilian now.
_What you see here is the making of a movie star. Honestly, Tom Cruise was more than just a pretty face. He was precocious, full of tenacity, and had ideals to become someone great on celluloid. Was he successful you might ask? Well, he was 21 here, and now almost 60(July 3rd), with his career being legendary. If you're a Tom Cruise fan, then Top Gun-Maverick is one of his best films, ever!_
@@jillconner5062 _I have to chuckle about your comment. 'Top Gun - Maverick' as of this moment has grossed globally, $1,493,491,858(source: Box Office Mojo), add in another 35 or 36 million for DVD and Blu-ray sales, then additonal millions for various streaming platforms, and you have the most successful movie for 2022(if not ever). That said, bottom line, the movie in the theaterical release form blew me away. (Sure I'm a Tom Cruise die hard fan to the core, so I may be partial). But come on, some 36 years later you have a somewhat military cult related film pretty much single handedly brought back going to the movies post the pandemic._
One of the most handsome among famous men. Only Brad Pitt during Brad's peak during 1990s outshined Brad. Before and after nobody. As for not famous there are for sure thousands worldwide in his and Brad's league.
@@angelsoul1974 I agree to a certain extent. Tom has glowing and charismatic beauty and personality (strange, though). Rate are people with such combination. However, during Brad's peak ('90s) there was nobody among celebrities that was better looking than him. Not even Tom. I remember my sister talking about Brad all the time when he was not that famous so my mother still did not know how he looked. One day my sister put several Brad's posters on walls of her room. My mother entered my sister room, saw Brad's posters, came back surprised and said to my sister: "Hey, I did not know that Brad is SO MUCH beautiful."
He's an evil man. Read up on his actions on scientology. He abandoned his own child for gods sake .....but I guess if he's good looking enough youd still be into him....
3:35 he was already so intelligent and wise with character storytelling and cinema at that age. he really was and still is the whole package, so inspiring.
it is a divine!!! he is the perfect man, cute, nice, good and funny. as soon as the interview started I was already killed by Tom's soft voice, his charming smile, his hair, his eyes... Definitely everything!! It is perfect! And as an actor... No way!! He is excellent at acting.

I am a Chinese. What I want to say is that this video has exceeded 400k views on Bilibili website in China, and many girls were shocked by his beauty during this period😂
As congenial as he 'appears', he is incredibly measured, guarded and considered in his responses. He has Scorpio Rising and it is up front and centre here; there has always been an intensity about him.

Not in an arrogant way but what comes off in this interview is his confidence almost like he was already this accomplished actor like he already knew every door was open for him.
They don’t make movie stars like him anymore. In my opinion he is the most handsome man I’ve ever seen. They could find stars like him but they don’t, they cast average looking guys with okay acting skills. He seemed like such a sweet boy, it’s really sad he got caught up in and leads a classist abusive cult.
Didn’t know he turned down Rumble Fish to do Risky Business. That was a ballsy move. Francis Ford Coppola was a much more established director than Paul Brick an. But decision made his career.
He has a lot of life to live from this point forward. I love this Tom. In NYC I was in an elevator alone with him and I didn't have the nerve to even say Hi! lol
I think Tom Cruise is the greatest action actor of all time. He is the only actor who hangs on side of flying airplanes skydives pulls parachute shoot under 2000 feet and almost all of his stunts.
He has a glare like he knows something more that makes you shiver. This poem of mine is about him. I am the author of this poem. His ebony hair Long and wavy, And gleam in the eye... As if crystalline. And when he looks at somebody, And in his eyes there is fear, Leaves one wondering What does he feel? And when he looks at somebody, And in his eyes there is glow, Leaves one wondering What does he know?

Even with Scientology, I liked him a lot in the 1990s as well. He started to lose it in the early 2000s and not in a sympathetic way and hasn't been the same since lol
@@charlesswitzer8378 Scientology destroys empathy and compassion and turns you into an absolute shell of a human. It's a money laundering scheme that uses fear tactics to strip people of their freedom and families.
Roberta Frances Wygant (nee Connolly; November 22, 1926 - February 18, 2024) was an American television news reporter, film critic, talk show host, and interviewer who worked for Fort Worth, Texas, television station KXAS-TV (originally known as WBAP-TV) for over 70 years. She was known for her filmed interviews with celebrities.
What an incredible person in those days........innocent, naive, humble, sweet, so down to earth and real !! what happened to that person......just not the same person now in 2020, very sad !!
If you lived his life, worked with all the people he has, held his responsibilities, made the multi-millions of dollars he’s made, had as many women as he, etc, would you be the same person in your late 50s. Probably not. If you haven’t walked in someone else’s shoe it’s really hard to judge.
To be honest, I know he’s into the whole Scientology thing but he does come across as a very nice guy in most interviews. Just watch the Parkinson interview with him and Billy Connelly
Wow he’s just a natural born actor, the guy just know which film role to pick, as we see today, Tom Cruise is just so cool and suave with the Mission Impossible franchises and got to say i really enjoy watching him play a killer in Collateral and again any movie he stars in i enjoy it. Hope to see many more action movies from you, Tom!
Here the conversation between the interviewer and the performer seems calmer and more insightful than today's media frenzy to rush everything up and interrupt the interviewer every 15 seconds.
