Tom Day never fails to deliver the same consistently high quality music we've come to expect from him. It doesn't matter where he takes his style, he always hits the nail on the head and brings out the feelings he wants in his listeners with remarkable success. Personally I've been listening to his tracks as I drift off to sleep for the past couple of months. Pure relaxation!

I’m 25 going on 26 on Saturday. Found this song maybe 7-8 yrs ago. I have a family now and life should be good and it is tbh but for some reason I still feel empty. Decided to chug a beer and found this little gem deep in my favorites list and I guess it just helped me on a day where I’m just feeling really down even though I shouldn’t be. For any of you still listening I’m still here too

A girl stands watching her dad packing for leave. He will be gone a long time. Her mother cries as he packs for duty. The girl cries, "but it's my birthday don't go." Tears fall down her face like the rain pouring outside. Sunset approaches and a sudden break in the rain gives way. A dispute goes on between mother and father creating more tension in the somber home. Banners of joy and happy wishes bend as the door swings open and a gust of wind blows in. The father leaves promising to be home one day. He goes alone, the girl runs after him, carrying balloons as a gift for him. Screaming, "no, not now, it's my birthday. Why would they make you leave now?" The car drives off, the father sees his daughters reflection in the rear view and he sobs as he stares at the clock. He's running behind. At last the car is out of sight, and the girl stands starring out across the ocean with those words echoing in her head, "Why now? But it's my birthday." A plane is seen flying over the ocean, and she returns home with more questions than answers.

There are some songs that just leave you speechless. This is one of them...

It's been 7 years ago, that I listen this song for the first time. 7 f*cking years ago. I was 14 and a lot of things happens until now. But when I come here and I listen this song again, it's like a trip to the past, like a way to bring me back lost memories from my childhood, a lot of fears and a lot of happiness too. This is indeed, the great power of music. Thank you Suicide Sheep and thank you Tom Day.

When you get introduced to emotionally inspiring music, it touches the heart, mind and soul at the very deepest of its core and plants a seed that will eventually flourish into the most beautiful thoughts and ideas that deepen our understanding of reality and help us contemplate life itself. This, is one of those songs.

Music really is the closest thing to magic I can think of. Just look at some of the conversations happening on this video, all spurred on by music. It is actually quite backwards for the Internet (when people tend to use anonymity to attack one-another). Seeing people from totally different walks of life offering to help one another through things is more inspiring than the music its self. If only people could be like this in person :)

This song brings a certain kind of hope in to the mind of a listener.

I discovered this song back when MrSuicideSheep uploaded it, and I loved it. A lot of time has passed, definitely for the worse, and I forgot about the tune, but somehow it got back to my memory, I struggled a lot to find it, and well... It's not as special as I remembered it. All that matters, though, is that it does bring so many good memories. I thought back then I was doing bad, but looking back, nah, I wasn't, it was great. In fact, the song alone pushes me to do better, so I can go back to those days. Rarely do I do cheesy comments on RU-vid, but... I guess it is alright just once.

Just 3 day before this was out my life has changed for the worst, I felt so lost, sad and I was never going to see my family again. At the time that's how I felt but slowly step by step I'm making my way back, things won't be the same but at least it's a little better now. When I first heard this I broke down crying like never before and at the same time it up lifted my spirits, it was almost as if that I was meant to hear this but even though I was just browsing through my suggestions and I don't normally listen to this kind of music. But I do now.

Mhmm, yes. I love it, Tom Day is always awesome.

I'm an incredibly sad and boring person, and I even had some fucking suicide thoughts at some point in my life, but it's music like that that keeps me on the ground. Without music, I don't know how I would be able to survive. I might never get a girlfriend or something because I'm incredibly shy, but I hope I will never lose my love to music.

Objectively, Tom Day tracks are probably very simple, they all have the same kind of structure. But Subjectively, its minimalist style creates so much emotion, I just can't resist :D
