Thats a hell of a score man, congrats on the guitar. There is something special about those Les Pauls made in the 90s. Fun fact I actually saw him play that exact guitar live in 1998 at the Bottom South in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Cheers.

This is amazing that you got this man! I always loved tom's tone when he used his les Pauls during the dude ranch era. Everytime I'd see this or the wine one in videos it always made me want a les Paul like his hah. I always wondered if Tom still had them, thanks for sharing the story on where they've been, that's so cool that you have one man, I'm jealous. Definitely looking forward to hearing some dude ranch covers on this!

The unidentified sticker on the case, looks like the sticker on the billabong les paul. The "star" thing is the same, i think. Anyways. Nice find!! Love the Les Paul!

That's so sick, dude! I own a volume knob from Tom's signature jag (used for "Obvious" when playing live) that I caught at a show in 2003 along with his custom guitar pick. I also own Tom's red Gibson thunderbolt strap from the early 90's. It's a long story how I ended up with that but it's a prized posession!

So much cooler than getting a signature guitar used by him since it’s so much more rare. Even cooler that you bought it from Chris. Treat her well. By the way, I was the one who bought the Inca Silver Tom Delonge strat from you. Still plays great and I still love it.
This is practically the Holy Grail of pop punk, I would be in a constant state of shock if I ever got to even play that guitar. I can't imagine what it would be like to own it.
First off this is awesome! Also, I don’t know if anyone commented this yet but this is the guitar that Tom was playing when Blink had their part in “American Pie”. I recognized it immediately and just confirmed by searching “Blink 182 American Pie”; you’ll see him in the background with it when they first make an appearance.

I own three of Steve Klein's guitars from his time in NFG. Champagne sparkle strat used in dressed to kill and hit or miss videos, blue sparkle strat used in head on collision and a telecaster he used on the rhythm tracks for the catalyst album!
yeah i saw a post he made not that long ago about "finally" getting his sunburst jazzmaster back. wonder if it was collateral or something in his big court/marriage deal. i dont know. i'm not going to get into whether or not he's a gross dude. like some idiot tried commenting earlier (which i deleted). i'm just saying, he's had some damn cool guitars.

Tom is playing a black LP (I'm assuming it's this guitar) at Mayfest, University of Redlands, 9th May 1998, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bd1msLWXr2I.html ...there's a pretty good closeup at 12:05 ... this must be before it was modded as it's still got the pickguard, all four knobs attached, and the switch in the original place Chris Cote also shows up at 14:44
Good for you for not giving a fuck what people think about how much you paid for it. Clearly it means a lot to you. My buddies are always giving me so much crap about gear I buy. I mean it’s my one hobby, if I want to spend my money on music gear so be it. I’m not rich but I spend my money on things that make me happy.

I'd be very surprised if that was not used on EoTS. The tone is spot on. But I know he used his signature strat heavily at the time too. I wonder if that guitar could have been used on the Boxcar album?
Dude! Jon, I'm soooo stoked for you! I'm Friends/Friendly with Chris Coté... (Used to work at Transworld Media, when he was there and the Editor for Transworld Surf Magazine...) He's one of the funniest/nicest guys you'll ever meet... We live in there same area, Encinitas/Leucadia, but I haven't seen him in a while... Gosh, if I would have known he was selling this guitar, I would have wanted to buy/snatch it up! Ha! Lol! But, I'm super stoked for you... You're an awesome dude, and one hell of a guitar player... I've seen Kut U Up quite a few times, (Seeing I live in the area...) And they're back at it! (Sorta... :D ) Did you happen to pick up the EP that they released about a year ago? Hey man idk if you will see this but if you look up the blink 182 scene in American pie you can see that the guitar you now own was part of that movie so is the strap. It takes some looking but you most definitely can tell that it is the same guitar.
