As a Las Vegas local, Steve absolutley remind me of one of those tourists that come into town on a business convention and play those 1-2 game just "for fun", talking to everyone and having unlimited cocktail drinks. Usually , they blow it all at the end but they sometimes have ridiculous run too. Steve is the absolute mirror image of these conventioneer / recreational poker players. Generally, they wear their tells on their sleeve but I can't imagine to these high-stake games, it's just weird and off-putting seeing this kind of playing style lol

I used this min bet super annoyingly after I saw this and it dominates. Lost value a couple times but it just adds this weird dynamic that people think about and it seems to take away from their more important thoughts or something. Like telling someone not to think about an elephant

My take: Steve's banter is totally OK when heads up. However, if you're in a multi-way pot, you need to SFTU about what you have, or about how you want the action to go... about all that. That crack he made with his 99 when he binked a set on the turn with 2 players in the hand was completely out of line.

Steve is just good at bluffing people by not betting, but his talking. When he got 7 at the turn, he said that it helped him, when it didn't at all. So hook thought he had trips 7.

I think Steve is some multi multi millionaire that is just playing with pocket change and just out to have fun. He's entertaining at the very least IMHO.

Try one thing. Listen to what he’s saying without seeing his hole cards but without reading his body language. Try it with the distraction of shooting the shit at the cash table. How many times has someone who had total air sarcastically said oh I hit the turn when it was a brick. It goes both ways. Easy to judge when hole cards are seen, but it’s hard to believe in real time

Easy to say as an observer but it's hard to imagine this shit would work in my regular home games. These guys are so used to playing with high level players that maybe this shit catches them off guard? Seems wild that this shit worked.
