I tried the new Costa Azzurra in Neiman Marcus a few days ago and I love it. It smells too masculine for me but, I think this is a great scent for men of multiple ages. 💜

Need to try this again. Haven't tried this or the Acqua version in about 2 years. Quite a surprise for me too that this fragrance ended up in the signature line. Would have loved to see something blueish on the bottle

Just bought a bottle today. Sadly, your review is spot on! I will try it again next year in Spring. It is definitely a skin scent. I was looking for something stronger. Got it for a super great price however.

I agree. This is definitely subdued. It does change with extreme changes in heat and become very herby and inscency. I noticed the changes when I went to the gym. But again, not a projection monster.

It's alright, smells like a niche Penguin Original blend, probably that drift wood note is dominant. Good honest review!

Fits in with the line in terms of range. I’ll wait for it to hit discounters. I have and enjoy the aqua. It would be wonderful if noir de noir is in rotation to become a PL fragrance. I’d say it comes down to sales, ombré 18 didn’t splash, BDJ is a tough sell in a blue market, and CA just didn’t have an audience. As I said too many fragrances doing the same thing, and some better for less. I always sought it but never bought. Enjoyed the review nonetheless, all the best in the new year.

Idk about this this new version but the private blend version is the best summer performer I have. Comes off very masculine. Oakmossy/Oud type feel really latches on to my skin and takes the top notes along for the ride. It's a bit too mature for me but I can see why they ported this over and made it more affordable. This reaches a larger demographic then VF(older captain of industry types buying them at duty free before a vacation).

It would be awesome if you could interview someone at Tom Ford about their strategy for porting fragrances between collections. Doubtful that they would comment, but it would be awesome if they agreed. Personally, I’m hoping for more of the Fougeres to come out in the less expensive line.

Love Costa Azurra! Definitely my favorite of the blue private blend bottles. I have a hard time liking fresh perfumes. But Costa Azurra is an exception. A favorite for the summer (my other favorite is GIT). Love the light salty woody (driftwood?) note in the base.

I think a big criteria to move a fragrance from the private line to the signature collection is a relatively lower cost of production of said frag since the price point is set much lower in the signature line.

I got the private blend version a couple years back. It definitely sits close but I like the smell so much that I had to have it. TF keeps me guessing on what the hell they're up to with their fragrances

I love this one as the private blends. Its a monster on my skin as well so thats makes it more cost effective. As im overly cynical i think they are taking ones that are moderate sellers that have higher margins and moving them. Neroli Portofino is beloved so that will stay as is. The signature line will get expanded with more offerings from the PB.

Vert D’encens was the biggest crime to discontinue. If they were going to release anything green, it should have been that!

Thanks for this. Costa is one of my favorites, I bought a backup decanter when I heard it was discontinued (as well as several acqua bottles). I was wondering if this would be the same and it definitely sounds like it’s lighter.

Costa azzura is Litteraly my only favorite frag. Blind buy worthy and Easy dumb reach. I discovered it by blind buying. The other ones with the blue bottle smell like an older lady according to women ive asked.

Do you think they’re going to discontinue Noir de Noir completely? I love that one so much and might have to get a backup of so. I don’t buy the big bottles only because I’m a teacher and those things are half my paycheck!

I had a sample vial. It smells like moisturizer or sunscreen. Some say it has been reformulated. But I got nothing more than sunscreen.

I love Costa Azzurra. Salty fresh and intoxicating. For my nose, anyhow :) Costa Azzurra being put into the signature line made no sense to me though.

I grabbed a sample of Oud Minerale over the summer and was blown away by how evocative it was of a stanky ocean. I wouldn’t buy a bottle but it was a great experience!

I would say amber absolute is a very expensive fragrance to make. It just smells expensive. I don’t see it coming to the designer line without diluting it.

I would like a signature version of oud wood with a good performance. Tom Ford would be my favorite house but the performance of the scents I like are poor. Noir Extreme smells fantastic for an hour and after falls apart. Projection and longevity are also very tamed. Oud wood is watered down to hell and the summer fragrances are overpriced. Tom Ford is one of the most expensive house all fragrances should be a beast...

they wouldn't do it as Oud Wood is probably one of their best sellers and people are still willing to pay the Private Blend price. Why downgrade to Signature Blend and make it cheaper when that means less profit to them?

Never liked this one. It has a very generic designer fragrance feel about it. Reminds me a bit of Acqua Di Gio Profumo which i hate. Tom Ford is releasing in this line the fragrances that didn't sell at all. I hope he releases Tobacco Oud in this line though:)

Guys since you’re here you want to take-care yourself and smelling good and look good. Its not about just Perfume sprays theres also Delicately perfumed lotion and Body wash makes you feel and smell good all day 😌 🧴. Look for brands like Hermes and Dior whatever brand you want they sell these Lotions and body wash too ! I swear to god even the Nuns and Newlywed women will Turn their heads on you 😏 they be like “ i think i married the wrong Person “. That type of level of Sexiness when they smell you 😂

Its ok, but the performance is average and nothing to being wowed about, no wonder they are trying to sell it at it cheaper price. Still its overpriced as there are so many better quality fragrances out there for less.

Never a fan of this. It’s like a really poor blend of Calvin Klein Eternity and vintage Aramis New West - both superior fragrances. Also, the bottle design follows the recent trend of painting everything in gaudy, trashy bling bling gold like Black Orchid Parfum. TF fans probably think this color design is what epitomises good taste. Complete miss for me.
