No, because Its a lady's choice if chooses to shake hands or hug a person of opposite sex. You can't call her rude for that. Yes, if she did that with another female celebrity than she would be rude.
@@shubhamverma1648 She's not a good interviewer... can't even read from a script properly. idk about you but it seems fair to advocate equality not sexism. It's common courtesy to stand and greet someone.
She is host, Tom is a guest; therefore she should be standing to greet him irrespective whether she is a lady or not. Don’t use gender to excuse her from her manners. Tom is of course a gentleman and knows exactly how to conduct himself. Tbh her actions reflect on her lack of etiquette. When you are in the fashion business this is a basic requirement.
Shubham Verma there is no need for human contact. But the host must full fill his/her duty to greet a guest. It’s a job and they have to take into consideration before taking the job. Since the man will not asking for a greeting or handshake, the woman have to be proactive, show sign or not. The man clearly showed sign of asking for her permission, she said he could kiss her but didn’t even bother to stand up. It’s not like a men wiuld like to touch another man or woman either, but they must do it or find another way.
My goodness, she has a perfect opportunity to showcase herself as well Tom, but failed miserably. Personally, from the moment he walked out and she didn't greet him, it was never going to anywhere. I could listen to him all day - a fascinating, inspirational individual.
Wow, he can talk and articulate so well. His fashion factors past, present and future, like geometrical mathematical equations. He has class. even how he presents himself to the audience. A global thinker, with vision and horizon. He is not just a fashion designer or a film producer-director but a corporate man.
When I watch this video from 14:15 to 14:35 I can see that Tom Ford definitely liked this interviewer. Tom said she's attractive. *"Look at those LEGS."* Tom even asked her to put her notes down just chat with him and tell him about herself. But she only wanted to do the interview. I can also see that in the beginning when Tom tried to hug her but she wouldn't even get up to greet him. She just wanted him to sit down so she can start the interview. But Tom still asked to kiss her. So I can see Tom obviously liked her but she obviously didn't like him. She just liked his clothes. That's why she was wearing a Tom Ford dress but was being rude to the designer. But I like how Tom was still a gentleman to her.
No, she doesn't.Maybe you lack some. Its a lady's choice if chooses to shake hands or hug a person of opposite sex. You can't call her rude for that. Yes, if she did that with another female celebrity than she would be rude.
I think it is quite unfortunate. She did not get the cue when he invited her to ditch her prepared questions on the tablet. When interviewing someone, its best to go with the flow of the conversation and not stick to prepared question. You can revert to certain subjects at opportune moments, but when the subject is steering you in a different direction, go with it.
@@mikeottawa8158 Learn to spell you imbecile. Doesn't matter if she has an acquaintance with Tom, she doesn't know shit about common etiquette which she definitely should.
I think she does an ok job, not easy and she's clearly a little star struck which is understandable. It's not only an interview with a huge iconic designer, but in front of a live audience, so not the easiest of situations to be relaxed in. Tom did all the heavy lifting luckily, and was as always, engaging and very charming.

I am so impressed that Tom Ford recognized Lee McQueen as a true artist. And if Tom Ford is an artist he may have reached that via film (and specifically screenwriting, directing) rather than via fashion, though he has a fantastic eye ... I had never heard him say this about himself I’d tjoight it about him myself. Anyone this realistic and wise whether kind to every last person they meet or not (we can all try but at times we’ll all fail) is unusual to say the least.
I actually loved the interviewer! She's naïve one can see from her body language. I mean, we are inundated with polished, finessed, tiptoe perfect and it's a refreshing sight to exhibit vulnerability. She seemed to really love Tom Ford by the insights she has about him! Just my thoughts:)
she shouLd'v known better and stood-up whn he came on stage , but she's an acquaintance of Tom's and not a profsionaL journaList , Ford Likes to hob-nob wth European arstocracy
the worst interview host ever...Alexa Chung would have been the best interviewer for such an illustrious and exemplary fashion heavyweight. She did not justify this at al...
Yes, he's cutting her off, but he's usually much more respectful. I think from the very early interaction, including her failure to greet him, he decided not to give more than the minimum due.
Does anyone else also think Tom Ford has a little bit (J.R.R.Tolkin) Elfish kind ears?! His ears are so pointed and long :D. I think he would be a great fashion elf in Middle Earth :D

Tom's rant about this generations problem being that they don't want to intern makes no sense, the current generation is working the most unpaid internships in history.

That interviewer ruined such an opportunity for the world to learn from one of the greatest artists. Tom Ford you are brilliant and so great! Sorry you had to talk to this nonsensical woman
When Tom Ford came on to the stage this woman should have stood up. He clearly wanted to hug her. It didn't look good. Etiquette says a woman doesn't have to stand up when a man enters the room. However, as Tom Tom is such an icon (and I have never seen/heard about her before), she really should have stood up. Was embarrassing for me to watch this.
