What Tom Ford says at the end of the video has very, very strong value. Will dressing the part automatically hand you what you want to be? Absolutely not. What it will do is open more doors for you through indirect experiences. IE: When you dress like an entrepreneur, you come off as an entrepreneur to other people. Meaning - when you talk to people, people will more likely trust you as a successful businessperson when you are well put together. Ask yourself - would you invest in a company where someone pulls up in a Mercedes Benz S-Class or a 1990s Honda Civic? You would probably feel more comfortable investing in the person that has the S-Class. Its all psychological. On top of that - dressing the part might give you confidence for the part as well. You can see this is another form of money makes money. Use money to better yourself and you'll make more money. There was fortune article talking of a start-up CEO using a good percentage of his salary to purposely stay at 5-star hotels. He saw this as an investment to meet other wealthy individual. Chances are you are more likely to find wealthier people at high-end hotels for your investments rather than a Motel 6. If you are an upcoming CEO, consider this. Stay at a Park Hyatt - not a Hyatt Place.
