Dallas' defense kept the game within reach the whole game. Early on with 2 bad turnovers by their offense, their defense only gave up 3 points. It could have been so much worse for the Cowboys. Quinn and his defense rate no blame for this loss. Even with the 49ers insisting on trying to pound the ball all game, their run defense gave a bit, but never broke open.
Best part about that is you just need to add in the Texans (who have never made it since they started playing in 2002), and you'll have all the teams to not make the Conference Championship games since 2000

I felt good at the first half. We had a chance to go up by 7 WITH THE BALL to start the 2nd half and Dak forces a terrible throw and the Niners go and kick a field goal. This stings. It’s gonna be a long offseason
Its too soon to anoint someone the new TB12 their first season! Lets see what they do next season after teams figure out how to scheme against him! Not trying to be negative, just want to be realistic!
As a Washington fan I couldn’t be more happy to see Dak have a complete meltdown this season and it be hidden by a very good defense. It’s crazy to think we beat them and the Eagles
@@rodzila8314 Dak isn't what he used to be and Cooper Rush is fine for a backup QB but he isn't the answer either. The problem is that Jerry likes Dak so we are likely stuck with Dak unless he gets hurt and the backup just outright plays better...so what Dak did to Romo in other words.

"Don't know what that last play was." Giving up, Tom, it was giving up. The Cowboys, for some reason, had NO fire or urgency on that last drive, everyone was so non-nonchalant about it (especially #86, holy crap), and it cost them the game.
How strange that Scooter spent the least time on call of the five of them once his team lost. Almost like he's too fragile to take what he gives. But nah, I'm sure it's nothing like that
I find it staggering that out of the 5 he has the most subs. The guy is salty AF and talks complete BS. All the others can laugh at their team's failures and take their punishments.
This is just a lovely bit of Sunday evening. A smooth, 12-year scotch and a Cowboys failure. All that talk, all year long, and it's over just like that. Thank goodness, I would've probably skipped this Thursday if they somehow won. A cheers to literally every other fan base in football. They're done, again.
The thing about the niners team is that everyone does their part. Defense has to do their part, offense has to do their part, Robbie Gould did his part, Brock Purdy did his part, Kyle Shanahan did his part. No one was lacking on the niners teams. Meanwhile the kicker and Dak were clearly the weak links in the Cowboys team. The defense was phenomenal, they did a much better job than the Niners D in the first half.
Honestly as a Cowboys fan...I don't feel anything anymore. Our standards have been lowered so badly over the past 30+ years, since a certain man bought the team and refused to hire a GM, that we are just happy to have won a playoff game at all...God is this how the Jaguars feel? I don't want to be like the Jaguars. The Cowboys need to trade Zeke (he isn't worth the money), fire Kellen Moore (McCarthy gets another year unless its between him and Sean Peyton), pay Tony Pollard, find a young running back to pair him with or draft someone at Left Guard or maybe Center. We also could use a solid #2 WR because Gallup is too inconsistent and Dak keeps trying to force balls to Lamb in double coverage which is one of the reasons he threw so many interceptions this year. The point is that Dak simply doesn't have the talent to consistently win games on his own. He needs a good run game to force defenses to load up the box. Too often this season we were in 3rd and long situations relying on Dak to make a play. We did at least get better at not committing so many penalties this season...except for in the 49ers game. Niners you better beat the Eagles.
People were ripping the Vikings apart as "frauds"! The only thing I'm seeing from here and now is a whole lot of teams not putting up nearly as much of a fight as the "frauds" from Minnesota. Every other team seems to be trying to find new and exciting ways to completely embarrass themselves since.
Have not heard much from Cowboys fans about Money Maher. Be proud of him Cowboys fans. He set a record that will last 100 years more. Those extra points are really hard to make for NFL kickers. Oh, pay him more like Prescott. The more you overpay a player the better they perform.
He really blurs the line, but fuck him lol. He's the type of guy that makes your fanbase seem so awful. I personally don't hate the Cowboys and rooted for them in 2016 (Rookie Dak & Zeke were awesome), but man are the loud fans in that fanbase hard to sympathize with lol.
Yep, and Tom hated him. He literally said last year when Scooter asked "why didn't you warn us about McCarthy?!" Toms literal responded was "I mean I did".
I would normally say it’s rly reductive to just consider it the QBs competing, but to be fair Purdy did just flat-out outplay Dak this game (against a comparably strong defense). Impressive stuff.
