Mac is a legend when it comes to battle rap (apparently) right? Him and Tom had one back and forth 5 years ago, that Mac started, if Mac has followed anything that Tom has said or done in that time (which he obviously has) he knows that Tom won't respond. Between going after somebody that is not a "battle rapper" that he KNOWS won't respond, going after the fans AND Nova, it looks pretty desperate. Pretty much as desperate as Upchurch looked randomly going after Tom. Unfortunately Tom mentioned their back and forth in God Mode (and he could have phrased it better) but the context from the most part was he regretted it so I guess Mac had to get that out of his system, hopefully he feels better now. I would be willing to bet 90% of Tom's fans don't give a f*** about "battle rap". Most of us will be perfectly content if he just continues to make the music he's been making and never invests one second into "battle rap"... EVER. I'm sure there's a lot of people that enjoy this crap and like Mac, same as with Upchurch. Those people are going to talk s*** when Tom doesn't respond, the kicker is, they would STILL talk s*** if he did. My guess is Tom understands there's no upside to responding, he doesn't want to do it and his fans don't want him to either.

Okay to be clear when people say it’s battle rap they mean it’s war on wax. But an actual battle rap is live, three 5 minute rounds face to face back and forth like a sporting event… The is an entire subculture of battle rapper that don’t even make song all they do is battle for money like a boxer fights for a living. That’s what I mean when I say Mac Lethal is a living legend is the space he had 2 runs. On in the 2000s and one in the 2010s Tom fans don’t have to care, but if Tom doesn’t respond… Do not be surprised that the rest of the Rap world says he got cooked and backed down when he was faced with a good diss track. This is a good diss record the rest of hip hop recognizes that So if Tom only cares about his fans opinion then yea don’t respond But if he cares about what the rest of hiphop thinks and want respect from his peers. The older rapper that would NEVER EVER tolerate that disrespect with out a response…. He should respond Peace & Love

So what exactly did Tom do that triggered this? Last I knew, Toms new song was at number 2 and he was trying to take number 1 from Eminem. And why's Mac calling all Tom fans nazis? Pretty sure I'm a mix race with native heritage and my daughter is half black. People like Tom because he makes songs with meaning, Mac hasn't made a song that means anything since he did that 4 man collaboration. @@GimmicklessReactions I admit I only listened to God Mode once (distracted) so I must have missed that detail. Idk why Tom would bring up something to reignite an old beef. It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds. However I do disagree in a way: Mac did bring up a lot of political stuff. I used to listen to him but he didn't have to bring up Toms fans and diss the fan base. It was very unprofessional to go after the fans in this song when his beef was with Tom, it's not like the fans did anything to Mac.

A lot of HOG still attacks/harrass mac to this day actually. But I agree he could’ve focused on Tom and maybe win some people over or at least shut up the haters. But it’s beef, actual battle rap live with multiple rounds gets MUCH MUCH MUCH worse. Mac is playing the battle rap game he attacks Tom from every angle, when I say it wasn’t political I mean the wasn’t meant to strike up conversation it was meant to attack and disrespect Tom as much as humanly possible It’s not meant to strike up conversations or persuade or care about how anyone feels about his political takes. Outside of HOG Mac is recognized and respected as a living legend in the live face to face rap battle space by most of the culture Except HOG and Tom Swear his career is over and basically don’t give him is flowers at all. To look around at his socials anywhere. There will likely be HOG there taunt/harassing him about the beef That him and Tom supposedly squashed 5 years ago.

Rap isn’t a gentle men sport, Tom claiming he ended Macs Career and implying he is the reason Mac Lethal got a divorce was extremely disrespectful if he didn’t realize that he is ignorant of common decency of not speaking about personal business that is not yours. He could just said he doesn’t like how dissing makes him feel similarly to J Cole. But he choose to bring up Mac and claim he ended his career (which isn’t subjective, if Mac lethal is still living off of music which is that is an objectively false statement) when he is still touring and toured with a member of D12 with in the last year. No refuting things isn’t cope, When people say this isn’t a good diss track it is cope. I do like rap but I have no way to judge this song. When someone likes a particular song it's because they identify with it in some way, that is why people connect with an artist.

We all assumed it was but what did Tom do prior to those diss' 5 years ago? Did he have some rap battle in a nightclub somewhere? Is there a diss record out there somewhere that's not on YT? It seems that Rap is the only genre of music that there’s a requirement to know all of the history of said music to write and perform that style. There’s not that requirement for country, rock, or pop. A case could be made for opera I suppose.

SMH it’s cause of god mode. The ghost writers allegations were completely unfounded without receipts… if you know history about Macs track record accusing him of having a writer make absolutely no sense. He is a season battle rapper (as in rap battle leagues where you frequently need at least 20-30 mins material and also made it to the finals in scribble jam 3 times in a freestyle battle event.
