I included the whole discussion with Tom but cut out non-Tom parts in the news feature. (The full feature can be viewed at bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18236366) Originally aired on 28 May 2012, BBC Two
I was thinking that they might have thought Tom was like the young whipper-snapper and that he would probably be seen as having the least experience, but I knew right from the beginning that he would be able to hold his own....and boy did he do that! He is so inciteful and intelligent and the fact that he had the last word on the subject shows how good he is! I bow down to you Hiddles!
I just adore how fuckin smart he is. I mean he damn handsome and kind but good lord he so intelligent... If I could ask something is to have a long wholeheartedly conversation with him
(told u it was difficult, lol) but also, this got me thinking, not many well known actors would end up going on newsnight....and not ones that have been in Hollywood feature films.....I mean I dont watch newsnight religiously so correct me if im wrong, but I dont remember many occassions....
and Paxman....i can forgive getting your i's and o's mixed up when typing on a keyboard, as they are right next to eachother, but not when speaking, lol
Guys, calm down a little bit. Someone please talk about the actual topic open for discussion here. It really is fascinating! Can we practice some restraint, and not belittle his intellect by crooning over his hair, as beautiful as it is. There's a time and place for everything, so let's be the dignified, respectable fans he thinks we are and not get carried away. I know it's Tom, and I love Tom more dearly than any of you, but this is madness... ... yes, it is.
sorry, ill try and stop writing stuff (when it comes to Tom that is very difficult) but when they pan out just before the interview starts..(starting at 1.18)..Tom looks so swarve...his eyes practically sparkle!
'What does Shakespeare teach us?' Pfft, the only reason I'm going to watch it is because of Tom, and the only thing I'm gonna learn is how damn sexy he is! xD
On the other hand as a Historian myself that guy stress me out! Wtf you insist so hard on read Shakespeare without the proper time perspective! Hello the Annales School die a 100 years ago!!
While George W Bush was FAR from an eloquent speaker, I can't help but comment that the English tend to be such pompous asses that their statements about Bush here are hardly long lasting, deeply truthful nor humorous. On the whole their comments are self demeaning and rude. And I am certainly not a Bush fan.
