Tom is the kind of man who can light up a room with his charming smile. That’s his real glorious purpose. Even if we don’t see him as Loki again, at least he got to tell the story he intended.
@@philipmedo7427 If MGM ever does a remake of the Wizard of Oz...Tom would sure make a wonderful Scarecrow...or Tin Man.or Wicked Witch of the West, come to think of it. "I'll get you my pretty.....and your little dog, too!'. Melania can play Glinda and Donald can play the Cowardly Lion....or an oversized Munchkin.
I take exception with my fellow commentators, as a British gentleman (raised well) it is indeed the fact that it is "a British thing" not only to be charming (classy) but also to be polite, self deprecating, kind to children and animals, more importantly to give up a seat to an unseated lady to hold doors open for same and protect if being accosted. Never leave home without a clean pair of shoes, and most importantly.....ensure the lady "comes" first!
The best thing about Tom is no matter how many times he tells a story he always is happy to tell it again and makes it interesting by putting emphasis on a different part of the story. I just love him! And I’m so excited for more Night Manager!
I love how enthusiastic he is about projects and people and films and everything! He never says a bad word about anyone, instead always appreciating those he has worked with.
His switch to a New York American accent was amazing. 😂 And of course a New Yorker would care more about leashing up the dog than seeing a celebrity in Central Park. 😂
crazy how life works. last night, i started watching The Night Manager. fell in love with the show. finished watching it today. now theyre announcing another season!
Loki Season 2 was perfect! What an absolute phenomenal character Arc and transfrom for Loki. Seeing his character grow and evolve over the entire MCU was already an adventure. This show really got down to the Raw character behind the god of mischief. Why does Loki do what he does and what makes a Loki tick? That was the central question of season 1, and the central question of season 2 was, "Can Loki truly change his predestined character?" He who remains never saw that as a possibility and never accounted for it which ultimately led to his ultimate defeat with Loki's sacrifice even after trying to present Loki with the easy way out of joining him by his side and letting him take over his job or letting Slive die and letting the TVA continue their work as usual. Loki chose neither and decided to burden the responsibility of the infinite Multiverse all on his shoulders so not only his friends could have a chance of true free will but have a chance to live long and fulfilled lives without having to worry about the dictator at the top of the Multiverse. Loki gave up his forever and his life and his own Free Will so that every single individual across the Multiverse that it's infinitely expanding every second can have that luxury that he himself will never be able to truly experience ever again. He realized it's more burden than Glory to be in his position. That was the most important lesson Mobius taught him. So now he sits alone at the top of it all. A God to a Multiverse that will never be able to truly appreciate him. He will never again be able to set foot on what he now guards and protects, but he will be able to watch and continue to let the stories of the individuals he helps live thrive. He is the god of stories because not only does he have the ability to watch and listen into every individual he's giving free will to by examining their stories and their lives but he is also the only one sitting on the throne of existence itself that allows every individual living the luxury of free will. He is the reason why everyone is alive across all of existence and he is the only reason why they don't have to worry about a tyrannical dictator controlling their lives across the Multiverse. He is the only reason why anyone in the Multiverse gets to have the opportunity to live a full, free, and fulfilling life. That is now his ultimate mission, his ultimate sacrifice, his Glorious Purpose.
No, THE ENDING of season 2 was perfect, and you're projecting that final impression on the entire season, but the writing and directing for the season was actually so awful, my friend had to force me to continue watching. Typical Disney+ show. Slow paced, repetitive, completely changing characters and their dynamic amongst each other (Loki/Sylvie), an annoying glorification of the 80s, too many meaningless side plots, and at the end of an average episode the overall plot has not progressed at all and you ask yourself "why did I just waste 30-60 minutes watching NOTHING happen?". And the most god awful actor to ever work in the MCU, Jonathan majors. I was so annoyed by his wannabe artistic acting in his short stint on s1 already, it was painful to see so much of him. Good riddance, woman beater.
@@mikelytoui think u r in the minority for that opinion Jonathan Majors' acting. I among many thought he was very interesting in all the characters he played on the Loki.
Absolute gem of a man if all men were like this the world would be an incredible place he's so respectful..... he gave us many incredible movies and shows..... I'd be on the floor dead if I ever met Tom Hiddleston honestly he has my ❤
Tom is a super human being. Even though I met him very briefly for a signing at Tokyo Comic Con last Dec, he was very sincere and will look you in the eye and chat with you even for 30s, unhurried, even though there's a long line and many people to get through. Incredibly genuine, never drops his smile, AAA PR skills. Much respect
I just love this guy. He is so charming, well-spoken, respectful, and appreciative. Everyone, and certainly a lot of actors, could learn a lesson or two from how he conducts himself, and how he has conducted his career.
I really love him so much!! He is wonderful in every way!! What to say about his wonderful smile ( my weakness) his eyes, his voice, his attitude, how humble and nice person he is… how stylish and delicate…what an interview!! Tom is one of a kind…thank you for that!!❤❤❤❤❤
My favorite Hiddleston interviews are where he just goes through different accents and explains the facial nuances, etc. it’s fascinating. I should’ve gone into linguistical anthropology but Hiddleston helps make up for it
I love Tom Hiddleston, he's had great success but comes across as humble and genuinely grateful for the opportunities that he's had. He's what we call as a Great Lad or a Top Bloke!
@@phoenix-xu9xjYour point being...? What does that has to do with everything he accomplished and him being humble? It's not like everyone that goes to an important school becomes famous, just like not every actor is humble, so why do you envious people always gotta find some excuses to people's success in order to justify your failures?
@@Hikari12217 just saying he’s had many advantages boosting his opportunities to succeed. Many actors from less privileged backgrounds find it much harder to succeed in the arts these days. Much less funding than previously. And I usually find British actors are generally more humble. I often read Americans saying that a lot whenever a Brit is on at chat show. I’m always surprised because that’s just how that person has always been to us.
Tom is such a handsome, clever and nice man. I can’t wait to see him in the season 2 of the night manager and i hope to see again as Loki, the best Marvel character
Tom Hiddleston is always a treat man, there some sort of magic in the man that does things for your day, evening, and every rest of the day, love you sir,
It was because of Hiddleston's acting on 'The Night Manager' that I thought he'd make a great Jame Bond. In fact Tom is the perfect age to portray Bond as described by his creator, Ian Fleming.
I've bumped into him a few times in primrose hill, really nice guy, saw him with him son and nanny about a month ago. Also, the park he's taking about is the big one in primrose hill
Omg!! Nightmanager was so underrated when it came out eventhough it’s brilliant! It made him one of my favourite actors. I’m sure S2&3 are gonna be amazing, so excited! I love Tom, he’s just such a purely good, kind and charming person. And I don’t know how anyone wouldn’t want to stare into those puppy blue eyes all day.
@@narabdela In 2016 I didn’t see many people talking about it. Everyone knew him from Loki. A lot that rediscovered it later after being fans of Marvel. Maybe it was different in the US, I can’t speak for that.
The Night Manager - I did not know him before... I was as if I were hit by a comet while watching him play. He is 20 years younger but I fell for him as I did in 1975 for Alain Delon, my father's age, when he played Zorro! It is a different way you fall for actors than for real people.
He's got the kind of looks that make me wonder what the picture in the attic looks like. And if you haven't seen "Only Lovers Left Alive", watch it - that will make you wonder too...
Tom is a LEGEND and one of the greatest living actors, i'm so excited for the upcoming seasons of night manager, i mean that series is pure PERFECTION, i really hope he bring back everyone Laurie, Olivia Colman, Noah Jupe, Elizabeth Debicki...i mean this is the best news of the year so far and he MUST win the Emmy for Loki ❤❤❤❤👏🏻
The greatest MCU character development throughout the year is no other than Loki. He was never a villian to begin with. He did things to get attention but all he wanted is to be understood. Loki being my fav hero in mcu, it's so upsetting what they've done to his character in Avengers endgame but after watching Loki series.. phew! I am able to see the day of light lmao
Tom was perfect in the Night Manager. I love it, and I still watch it from time to time. I can't wait to see what they come up with in season 2. And as always, Tom is a great guest. Invite him more often please!
He’s one of our great actors, and we English people are happy to lend him to you!! I like him a lot. The Night Manager is a really good programme and it’s excellent to hear that more series are coming. I hope they maintain the quality of the first series. I’m sure they will.
Not exactly Loki, but Loke, the Norwegian way of writing the name is somewhat popular here, with 689 boys and 9 girls with the name Loke in 2023. Just 8 males named Loki in 2021. (in Norway)
I've got a little blonde puggle named Loki...and he's actually met Tom & his dog Bobby in front of Jacob's theater when he was in NYC for Betrayal!👍🏻✅️
I can't help feeling that Hiddleston, when he was standing in the dark and the rain, with a baseball cap on and his hood up, should have turned on his best, most wicked Loki grin at the guy with the dog. That'd been an interesting experiment, I think! :D
Tom H was great in The Night Manager. Excited for the story to continue. He is a great actor. John LeCarre' is one of my favorite authors. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (also a great movie), Constant Gardner, the whole George Smiley series, the newer ones....so good! RIP David John Moore Cornwell.
@dianewilliams1125 If Interested I'd Also HIGHLY Recommend another Gem of a Musical Indie Film called Broken Circle Breakdown. It's Fictional (if memory serves) and there's some stuff in it Not for Kiddoes - -- it Is EXQUISITE However. 🎨
The way Loki died in infinity war, I felt betrayed because he needed a closure just like Iron man and Black widow. And years later, Loki season 2 did justice to Loki, and he went out in a glorious way ❤
Would love to see Loki with Charlie Cox and DAREDEVIL!! He had a role in Wallander with Kenneth Brannagh. Small part, but a brilliant BBC detective show!!
