Andrew was “great” too, not just okay. Andrew’s Peter was only the way it was because of the writing, it had nothing to do with the way he was portraying the character. He was just doing what he was told, either way I still love his Amazing Spider-Man movies. Andrew has the insight to understand the character on a much deeper level and higher scale more than both Tom and Tobey. No doubt tho, Tom is extremely great as Spider-Man but so was Andrew. Andrew needs more praise on his Spider-Man, his Spider-Man is so underrated.

@@jcIIXVIIIVII I admit the movies have still been selling well, but I think a good number of people did leave, or had their foot halfway out the door after Endgame. Look at how critically panned Thor was, Antman, even Black Panther wasn’t universally loved although I do think that was more so due to VFX. Doctor Strange didn’t get too much love either. I definitely think you’re partly right about some people staying out of curiosity because characters like Doctor Strange, Thor, Antman, The Guardians all hadn’t had their stories wrapped up yet. However it is also clear to see that people are tired of the same formula, the overuse of VFX, and I think Spider-Man would be the last straw. People won’t really have any of the old guard left to be curious about, and everyone else’s big arcs are concluding. Sure X-Men or Deadpool might keep people interested for a while, but come on, if it’s just more of the same C tier movies at best like Antman and Thor, I don’t think X-Men would keep people interested very long since none of the cool main characters are left for the big selling point - crossovers.
