Tan it's because if you're under 18 sag(the actors union) says you can't work as long and you have to do a few hours of school which would delay filming so they just have adults play the parts because there aren't work limits on them

for all u complaining about spiderman reboots, this is definitely gonna be the final one because it's become apart of the MCU. And I think Tom is perfect for the part. Hes meant to be a "kid" in the comics. Tobey Maguire and andrew garfield were obviously both men trying to impersonate a teenager. Tom actually looks like the real deal.
