They should finally give you the Promo Code "0G" for your BB ad reads for Magic Spoon... You know, since they're actually writing "0G sugar" on their product and we - obviously - are your OGs...would be neat ;)
Can you do one on Joe Medicine Crow. He was a Native American writer, historian and war chief of the Crow Nation and the last Plains Indian war chief, which he managed to achieve while serving in WWII completing all four tasks required to become a war chief: touching an enemy without killing him (counting coup), taking an enemy's weapon, leading a successful war party, and stealing an enemy's horse and this is only part of this True Native American Badass.
I am the great grandson of Tom. My mother is Pamela Horn. Close to the great Ross Perot. Anyway I have a family book of every horn that dates back to the early 1800s. The craziest thing about my story is that Shedrick was my nick name Growing up my entire life. It was a baseball nickname that my coach gave me. It stood for ‘bringing the tools to the Shed’ a baseball term used often. My real name is Cedric. My nick name is Shedrick.. Pretty crazy
That is so cool!! Wild Bill Hickock was apparently there with Calamity Jane at one time. Even more surrealistictly, the fashion Icon and future Editor in Chief of Vogue Magazine in the 1960s was in Cheyenne, Wyoming as a young girl during some outbreak of disease that had her mother sending her, her sister, and her French maid to the wilds to avoid illness....they learned to ride horses and talk to cowboys.... She LOVED being out there, and in the future, would send models and photographers to wild towns all over America, creating some of the most iconic photographs of all time....
@@christineparis5607 that is cool! Didn't know that about Vogue! Yes Wild Bill was here, he passed through many times (I was born here, so the history of the city is pretty interesting) along with the fact downtown is still VERY similar to how it was in the 1800's (obvious modernization has occurred) but many of the buildings are from that time period. The gallows from which Tom Horn was hung from didn't fully be dismantled until I was young (70's) but the court house it was next to (across the street from the original jail) still stands today. Thank you so much for sharing with me! I greatly appreciate it!
@@hankthepatriot3733 One of my dream ideas is to travel America for a few years and look at our history, not just the big stuff, but the minor characters and events as well. I could go to museums for the rest of my life, I never get tired of history, and have collected thousands of memoirs from the 1800s on. I was completely fascinated as a kid, and now, as an adult, that what I spent every extra dollar on, old books, I hope to be able to finish a book I'm writing based on my grandmother, who grew up in West Texas and ended up in Hollywood! Hard to believe, I know! There are so many places to go to, I know I'll be in my 80s going, "I'm just getting started!"....😀
His cell mate gave my Grandparents his Saxophone. My great aunt woke up one night when she was 5 and heard a noise outside. They were rustling horses out of my Great Grandparents place. She went out and told them to stop as she didn't want to walk 5 miles to school. They laughed and told her ok. She said she knew who they were but wouldn't tell anyone if they left her horse. They agreed and left all the horses. My dad's father was part of his group and would tell my dad stories when he was little about Tom.
It was my birthday two weeks ago. I like Swiss cheese. I prefer fresh ground coffee but sometimes I drink instant. I'm out of white candles. I have a Rottweiler named muffin, and a cat named poodle boots. Muffin doesn't answer to his name . It was cold today so I got up late, I usually get up early. My toes are cold right now. Despite the hype Pop-Tarts suck. The Ouija board was invented in 1891. My favorite color is purple. I identify as a straight cis white male goth lightweight combat chassis/ weapons platform. My pronouns are God Emperor and Mi Lord. Every 60 seconds in Africa a minute passes. I couldn't find my lighter for an hour today. Some people wake up on the wrong side of human potential every single morning of their lives. The Darkest Nights you can see the Stars the Most.

I lived in Wyoming all my life. I knew a cattle inspector that said Tom Horn was at his grandfather's ranch at the time he was supposed to have killed the young boy. The cattle association which were a bunch of rich guys that owned most of Wyoming. Horn had completed his usefulness and they wanted to be rid of him.
Yeah, that's the legend. He literally knew where the bodies were buried. Not saying he didn't kill men and boys in cold blood. I'm just saying that there were many powerful people that didn't like him talking about who got killed.
Nice guy? These were different times. Nice guys, like today, finished last. You had to be a bit brutal to survive back then. Billy the Kid was not a nice guy. Nor was Wyatt Earp or Bass Reeves. We need to stop judging people of the past by our own standards in order to make ourselves *feel* good. Also, the mock trial in the 1990s, using our enlightened standards, acquitted him.
@@samsoncrosswood7259 Most people bakc then were nice guys who didn't kill. If the standards back then were so different why was he frequently fired or hanged? Stop aggrandizing criminals.
@@zarasbazaar People back then used to beat other men near to death for an insult, people shot each other over grazing land, shooting a man's dog or horse would get you dead as a door nail and no one would say anything. Tom Horn was a hired killer, there is a difference, that is why he was fired and ended up hanged.
An interesting take on the man was given in 1979 TV miniseries "Mr. Horn," starring David Carradine, Richard Widmark and Karen Black. There are many fictional aspects but there is a key phrase: asked whether it's true he has killed a hundred men, he says, "a thousand. The more they think I have done, the less I have to do. Fear serves me. The fear they have of me." Maybe his bragging wasn't a psychological flaw, but a weapon that ultimately killed himself.
I didn't pay attention in world history class in highschool. Only now do I want to know it and Simon has provided an Avenue for me to learn about Plato, Aristotle, julius Caesar, and so many more. Thankyou Simon.
I live near browns park where dart and rash were killed, my neighbor found isom darts branding iron in a tree while out riding. I have also worked on the 2 bar ranchs equipment, ironically they are one of the largest sheep ranchs in the state after waging a war against them a hundred years ago.
I personally believe Tom Horn got railroaded on his trial it says a lot about the man’s character when nobody in the county wanted to pull the lever when he got hanged
He deffently got railroaded he was my grate grate grate uncle storys told threw history in my family about him and from what you dont hear of tom horn brother was my uncle charlie all we got from then is chairs passed down in history from then.,the stories told down family history i go beliving books only go by what someone else thinks not always fact.,i belive my family on how he was insted.
At this point I'm convinced Magic spoon offers no actual financial incentive for the videos.....they're just Simon's Peanut butter Cereal Plug that he re-ups with in exchange for the sponsorship.
Hey could you please do a biographics on bert trautman. He played in the FA cup final with a broken neck. But before that he was a member of the hitler youth, Luftwaffe, paratrooper and a prisoner of war during WW2.
Lewis Wetzel is a fascinating figure from the early frontier days of America. Often compared to Daniel Boone. And he knew Betty Zane and her brothers. He would make a wonderful character for a Biographical episode! Thanks so much.
Several years ago my wife and I were wandering through Columbia cemetery in Boulder Colorado, which is a historically old place, with lots of interesting tombstones, and came across Tom Horn's grave. It surprised me, as I knew Horn died in Wyoming, but didn't know he was buried in Boulder.

Cedric, I am a researcher and would love to email you for family stories. The problem with a lot of "history" is no family stories or stories from boots on the ground. Now, Tom wasn't married that we know of, unless to an Apache common law wife and/or he didn't hang? So I'm very curious about your history. It's far past time for truthful and/or filled in history!
Weird thing growing up my family said I was related to Tom horn then in basic training someone was talking about him and now finally decided to look up facts myself lol
Could u please do a video on Quanah Parker great warrior of the Comanche Tribes and his mother Cynthia Parker just finished a book on him called Empire of the Summer Moon brilliant read
There’s a huge debate in my family on whether or not we’re related to Tom Horn or if we’re descended from native Americans like my grandfather swore. Either way we haven’t been able to confirm or deny either 🤷🏻♀️
