@@Gloryzuki Yes, I definately remember watching them in the 1970's with my dad. Didn't know they still showed them in the uk as late as the 90's & 2000's. I always prefered the classic 1940's tom & jerry than the later ones.
The color graded ending titles are less clear than the scan, unfortunately. Maybe because it's an 8mm print? Either way, still a nice find! And probably the closest we'll get to a restoration of Mouse Cleaning.
I don't think is a popular song. Scott Bradley sometimes used original compositions that recur throughout the series. As I'm sure you may know, this theme has played in a few other Tom and Jerry cartoons (such as the first and second ones). If this one has a name, it is currently unknown.
