Glad you are doing some more of Tom Jones. He is a Welsh singer who has one of the smoothest powerful voices around. And he was a showman too, in fact he was a big heart-throb with the ladies. He has so many hits such as "It's Not Unusual", "What's New Pussycat?", "Green, Green Grass of Home", "She's a Lady". He covers a lot of genres. He is still performing & is a coach on "The Voice" UK version. He also had a variety show from 69 - 71 & had some of the biggest music stars at the time.
I have been a Tom Jones fan since he first appeared on the scene world wide. I think he has the most powerful voice I've ever heard. He is not just a vocalist, he is a phenomenon!!
Tom Jones has a one of a kind voice and a 2nd to none stage presence. He's so damm great that he can sing about stalking and killing a woman and ladies just sit there smiling and saying how beautiful the song is. If that's not proof of how great a singer and entertainer he is I don't know what else would!
I grew up with Tom Jones’ music. He’s a living legend. It’s so sweet to see the younger generations of women falling in love with him, just like their mothers and grandmothers! 🥰

Maybe the only person I have ever heard whose natural voice has an operatic part to it. Nobody like him. Heard George Klein, one Elvis' best friends and a DJ, tell a story of Elvis driving back from a gig. Elvis was a big Tom Jones fan and stopped in Arkansas and called him at the radio station. Requested he play "green green grass of home". Then again. Then again. Only Elvis could get the same song played 3 times on the radio :-)
Actually, a number of singers in the "old days" had that vocal quality. James Darren, known by some people only as an actor, also had a singing career. If you can find "Sad-Eyed Romany Woman" (about a man seeking advice from a Gypsy fortuneteller), you will hear some of that operatic quality.

Tom Jones sang a duet with Janis Joplin on his own TV show so very very many years ago. I don't think it would be possible to get such a great male singer in duet with such a great female singer. Look it up.

This song was pretty controversial at the time...after all he admitted he murdered his girlfriend! I remember they talked about taking it off the radio, but no one could take Tom Jones off the radio LOL!
I thought she caught it the second time but, no. I've seen many reactors that don't get it. I'm not sure how she missed it 2x's with the lyrics on the screen.
Would love to see you react to the band Poets of the Fall and their song Carnival of Rust (their most well known song and the music video got voted as the best Finnish music video ever back in 2006 when the song was released). Truly an underrated band from here in Finland. Also a band with many different sounds all the way from slow melodic songs to full on rock. Although if you want to immediately hear a song that showcases how crazy good the lead singer Marko Saaresto's voice can be (and while his vocal range might not be the most dynamic out there he is an amazing example of what you can achieve by having absolutely perfect control of your vocals especially the raw emotion that his voice is able to convey) then i recommend listening to their song Daze. His vocals on the chorus are something out of this world. I just think that so many more people would love their music if they just ever heard them but since their from Finland it rarely happens. Although many have heard their songs in Remedy's video games Max Payne 2, Alan Wake, Quantum Brake and Control (Also every single reactor i have seen reacting to them has been pretty much blown away by their music so i'm very confident you'll like it) also... also... lot's of deep and meaningful lyrics and wordplay in their songs sorry for the long rant i just really want more people to know about them :D
Where are your Elvis reactions? He sang something like 400 songs. On records, in movies and live on stage. Some of his best besides gospel were done live in Vegas.
Ah, yes. I thought you might have picked up on his holdin gthe mic' like that because his voice was so powerful it would overload it if held much closer.
