My parents we’re definitely way older as in going to school my parents were the ages of my schoolmates grandparents… but yet I loved people for who they are. NOT color, yet I have been with my black husband for 28 years with 4 kids….they told me I would not graduate after having a “mixed baby in my senior year” my parents got with the school and school board to make sure I was screwed because I disobeyed them, more like what peeps would think about them having a grandchild not white …. I didn’t give a fuck…. EVERYONE TRIED MY PARENTS AND THE SCHOOL BOARD… mind you I was an athlete with the best skills of my sport at the time. They were telling me I would not graduate also that they would disown me if I didn’t have an abortion, “because they did not believe in abortion at all, but I guess that changed when I got pregnant by my high school sweetheart that wasn’t white because they said I need an abortion not only because I was white and pregnant but if it was because I was pregnant by someone not ALL WHITE, there would be an issue” I not only had my daughter on the Friday that we were released for holiday break, after 2 weeks on the break I returned to school played and dominated my sport, and moved out of my parents house Ohhh AND I GRADIATED!!! They disowned me I left no looking back and after 28 years and 4 precious kids that was the best thing, I did not come crawling back my husband and I took care of ourselves no matter what or how many hours we worked.
