Tom was on his last dollar, couldn't pay the rent, suffering from deep depression and had a stint with alcohol. Was on the back porch one night, smoking a half-lit cig and came up with an idea for a rap song. Wrote all the words down, rushed in the house, told Nova to grab her camera "We need to record a video right freakin now!" He called his folks, a couple of buddies to borrow some money and gathered $700 and put it all on Facebook Ads, and by morning he had 1million views and boom he was in the game. Back when Tom and a few of his buddies were young, they partied and drank a lot, so they were having the best time of their lives but hung over all the time so they called themselves, the HangOverGang. Tom no longer drinks but still wants to have the best time every single day, so the name stuck. Today, HangOverGang means: family!

These ppl who are ranting jail Trump don't realize that you may want to shut the ppl up who aren't agreeing with you but they forget it will always come back around and you will eventually become the one who's being tried, convicted and judged . It's rules of universal law. As for hangover gang Tom is a recovering alcoholic. I always thought that's why we were called that. We are from many different walks of life and many different countries. But we all consider each other extended family due to sharing similar values and love Tom's music and the message he gives.

@@oakleyturner9544 you know I was just thinking about this today. I was thinking what if I’m the wrong one and someone showed me everything I believed was wrong and the other side was right. The flash of that through my brain was like how awful that would feel. Of course it didn’t stick because I believe in god, our country, veterans, and family, and of course trump. But for a second I felt what it must be like for all these people waking up for the first time and all the lies falling away and the truth just filling their souls with light and joy and all the hate is let go. Yeah I was having an existential moment 😂😂❤

Most of Tom's song's are very open for conversation's that need to take place for both side's. He is also very versatile through his music in showing his struggle's with mental health and drinking in the past. This is therapy for him. "Fighter" is good too. Speaking as a Navy Seabee veteran, that part about how young men used to fight wars speaks volumes. I am sure my father, a marine ww2 veteran would be shocked about the lack of patriotism in young men now.

I am an old dude who NEVER listened to any rap since it seemed so much of it was about the wrong message for our youth. Then I heard Toms song Politically incorrect and went down a rabbit hole. After that and watching many reaction channels I have come into contact with so many other artists like Adam Calhoun, Dax, Struggle Jennings, Ren, and NF to name a few. Your reaction to this song sounds a lot like when I have a conversation with my own sisters. New subscriber for the down to earth thinking.

I fought until I couldn't. Now this old dog just protects his porch and those in his house. Going over seas if for those young dogs. I got blown up 3 days in one week. When I was younger I was strong enough to fight for 6 months with a hernia caused by one of those explosions. Now I just hope and pray our country can find the unity we need. I would love to spoil some grand children, but I am ready to die right now today for what is right.
Just a little side note: While I love the meme bar and I agree with it. I was watching a young guy’s reaction to this video and when the meme bar came up he laughed and agreed but then said “this is a digital war” and honestly the young guy made a great point. While us older generations agree with the meme bar on a physical and fighting spirit level we cannot deny the power of meme’s in our culture. The fighting these young guys are doing on the digital front is as important as fighting on the ground. It is IN NO WAY THE SAME but it is important. You two have the first amendment so right. As irritating as it can be, the first is specifically there for that one guy who says something that no one agrees with. You don’t need the first to yell in the town square that “I support our President and the troops who guard us.”, but say something that is the opposite, or yell out slurs… well, the public will judge you, but the government can’t come lock you up so long as you aren’t inciting. It leads to people saying horrendous stuff, but it’s beautiful.
