I think this is one of Toms BEST songs! My favorite line is "I'm somewhere in the middle but ya'll don't know what to do with that." I am so tired of being lumped into a certain category just because I don't 100% agree with a side.
Glad to see you with Tom again. WE LOVE YOU GUYS, don't let sad keyboard people take away from our overwhelming love for you guys!!!! Keep the conversations coming ✌🏻❤️🇺🇲
Good comment, this artistry is helping many. English or Angelish is used to control & suppress. Legalese will show you how it is done, dogma is holding back much human development.
Fun fact: Tom and his brother in law built a wall in his backyard and painted it green then Tom was tied to it! He was just a few feet away from the house and like 2 feet off the ground 😂 Nova was sitting down recording it. The green screen shots and crowd in the street was incredible! #Names #HangoverGangForever🤘⭐️🏆🔥
Nova is talented. Her and Tom are going to go far. Look how big they are just as a "independent" artist. The billboards need to count all his physical copies as well as downloads. They say because they don't have a manager or a publisher that they can't count for the physical copies even though they let them in the backend. It's messed up. He should be number 1 he has earned it. Come on BILLBOARD.
I like the part where he says They’ll just call you something different if you change. Ultimately there is nothing we can do that will shield us from it. The only thing we CAN do is watch our own mouths. HOG4EVER ✌️
Thank you for getting back to Tom. I was a little white kid growing up in NYC in what used to be called a slum in the 1960’s. I was called everything you can imagine and some things you can’t imagine. It all comes from a place of ignorance, power and it all starts in the home and at school. Language has now been weaponized and the genie is out of the bottle, never to be put back. I’m not very optimistic on the future but I’m on the downside of my years at this point. I feel for my daughter and possibly her children. I enjoyed your reaction to Tom, as always and your conversation. Tasha, the only R word I can think of for you is ravishing! ❤️#HOG4LIFE.
Name calling is just how they try to control us. If years of being bullied in school when I was young and impressionable couldn't make me change they aren't going to do it now that I am older and know better.
The whole idea behind "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" is a lesson that just because you get called a name doesn't mean you have to defend yourself verbally or physically. The temptation in childhood is to react physically when someone calls you a name because depending on the situation/circumstance names can cause you to feel harmed in some way but the idea is that a verbal assault is not a physical assault and doesn't require a physical response. Important for children to learn this or else everyone would be fighting all day every day at the local elementary schools. Learning how to respond to confrontation both verbal and physical is very important and many people never learn. Today many people think a verbal assault is the same as physical assault and our schools and political correctness are at the center of this. If you cannot reason and guage your way through being called a name without reacting violently, then any one at any time can completely control you by setting you off at the right time they can cause you all kinds of trouble if your response is predictable. Don't give people that level of control over you where you're just exploding and an emotional ball of fury. Stay calm and understand those words cannot break your bones. A calm calculating individual is a formidable opponent that eventually gets respect from those who have no respect to give. Learn the lesson and control your own future
It's also to not give the other person power to hurt you. The saying was never meant to be taken so literally. Of course, words hurt, that wasn't the point. The point is to not give the other person that power, to rise above.
I grew up on a potato farm in Idaho, most of the employees were from Mexico. They were never treated like anything but family which is what they were considered. Many pictures of them holding me as a baby in the hospital which I cherish to this day. Geraldo nothing but love!
#HOGarmy I love the look at the end. He looks into the camera like, "Yeah, I said it". My favorite line is " They'll just call you something different if you change."
In the chorus, he said 'I hope you find the Lord'. Someone made a good point about this. It could be the equivalent to the southern back handed comment 'God Bless you'.
I ABSOLUTELY am proud and glad I decided to watch and follow y'all on Mr. Tom Macdonald because it's a journey for me. It's an inspiring new addiction that gives me new thoughts and hopes. I sincerely LOVE y'all! Thanks again for your work with this. I wanna have a private conversation with y'all if ever possible.
Love you guys. You do what makes you happy and though it's hard, we ignore the names. Sorry you both go through the difficulties of putting yourselves out there online. But we think you are awesome peoples. 👌
Just catching your journey. This song I feel connects to all people who hear it on a completely different level. This message is what I preach to my children all day every day. One of his best songs!
When I was 20, I really wanted to go to college to learn how to make Cellos. Was denied grants, denied funding.. Broke my heart. And this is the only Tom song I've seen that has Cellos. Still heartbroken.
Such an Important song & message!! Sent it to my 2 Sisters who are teachers hoping they can share it with their kids/students I know its’s a long shot but gotta try. Thx guys!! 💕 #HangOverGang 🔥🤘🏼😎🤘🏼🔥
A week ago I started watching reactions to Tom macdonalds messages. It's funny how my fellow American's react exactly the same. Regardless of age race gender lifestyle. Demacrats need to stop divided us based on our visible differences. God bless America. The American ideal of "All of us are born equal" will always stand true the question is will we stand together and live free and prosperous.
My name is Darin and I sure did miss you guys! You are both beautiful people. Much respect. Tom had a great message and a great pep talk in this song. Embrace the names and they can't hurt you. If you change I'll call you something else. Your names ain't going to hurt us anymore.... It's pretty funny that the Democratic voters, who claim to belong to the party of love and acceptance, are the biggest name callers on the face of the earth. The hangover gang loves you and we love Tom and nova! Keep up the good work folks! Be safe, God bless.
This is definitely one of my favorites, this message is what America needs right now. Especially for those who get bullied for having a different opinion. Definitely subbed! #hangovergang #tommacdonald #novarockafeller
I adore Tom! And shout out to Nova for another great video too! This song reminded me of a good friend...her parents had two daughters & her sister was very petite...so her parents referred to her as 'the fat one'...y'all this girl was NOT fat...but she believed she was her entire life...and still does! When words are used as weapons they can start a war within a person...sometimes it's a war that person doesn't even realize they are fighting...so the conflict goes unchecked and the damage becomes permanent. I've kicked myself plenty of times for putting too much stock into what someone else thought about me but I have figured out one thing...how I handle it greatly depends on my frame of mind at the time...and I am the one with the power to take control of that!
I don’t know if it’s just me and I know it can’t but if you close you eyes, layback and really feel the way the song is composed you can feel the power flowing through the songs veins. My message from this and my own personal message too is hey, at the end of the day just be you. The power of one is something a lot people subconsciously undermine. Only you yourself knows how you feel so don’t listen to the outsiders cause they don’t know what’s inside so fuck em. Love you two!
I love the reactions you two have with Tom's music!! I love the conversations after them!! This song is so powerful!! I'm so sorry people have been so horrible to you two on your channel!!! You two are amazing! Keep staying strong and being wonderful human beings!! #HOG
I absolutely love your content. Thank you for sharing your thoughtful insights with us. I know there are a lot of mean people on the internet but I hope you don't take their messages to heart.
I am having to deal with someone who loves to call me names, put me down, and find fault all the time. I have found that when they call me a name I look at them dead in the face and say "yep, I sure am" . That ticks them off more than if I stand and argue with them. Witch I find very funny! lol
I've been waiting for this reaction! I really liked the video from Nova. The billboard idea was genius because he was being crucified with the names pointing at him. And that's exactly what it feels like sometimes. He actually made the billboard, and his sister was holding him up with the ropes from behind. Their creativity is mind blowing to me. Hope you guys are having a great week! Great reaction as usual.
I never really like rap to much only a very few and Tom is one of them 2pac, come on T what the T stand for. This is a really great song great reaction my friends Tata. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥☮️♥️ Yeah people can be really cruel that's a shame
I have been called many names over my years. I am who I am and so are you two. I was affected earlier in life due to those names; but as you grow older it has no affect. Then as you get older and brush it off; the system will label you as an enemy.
Glad you caught "anything that society has taught you to say". Isn't that the truth!!! I was taught, 'Don't say anything if you don't have something nice to say' and 'respect your elders', 'respect authority', 'treat others as you want to be treated', etc. What on Earth are our next generations being taught?! It's no wonder there is so much disrespect and hate in today's society. 🔥HOG🔥
thanks you 2. woke up to watch this over coffee T sounded like he wanted to say even more but just couldn't get it all out lol. It feels like you guys could have talked for a couple hours on this topic 😀
You two are the "R" word personified. Reliable, the two of you reliably provide excellent content and reflection. Have loved your reactions since I first found this channel nearly two years ago. One of the channels I feel confident in hitting the like button before I have even started the video. In these crazy times you may not understand just how much it helps me in dealing with my depression to know that there really are good common sense people out in the world. I know there aren't that many in my every day life but it helps to just watch the two of you, as well as a number of other reactors to be honest. Keep up the good work and thanks for being there for everyone.
Benjy, #hangovergang for life love y’all’s reaction!!! (🫣also would love to see more punk rock reactions, misfits-Saturday night and dig up her bones🤞lol or just keep killing other reactions 🤘) big love and respect!!
Words are powerful. They can build up or tear down. We need to be careful how we wield that sword upon others and we need to keep proper perspective when we hear and internalize words from others.
