There is a deeper message to this video that a lot of people miss. When you watch the chorus. Most of the people shaming him are just as light as him or lighter. And when the classroom is erupting into o chaos one of the few people staying cool and listening is a black man. This racial hatred is pushed by people that have no horse in the race.

This is the first song I every heard from Tom followed by FAKE WOKE and I was captivated by what he said so I dived in and binged all of his videos in a weekend and became #HOG 100%. There's a great video before the Shoot of this song that explains why he made this video which is just as great and would recommend to you guys. One thing to keep in mind about this video... Tom let everyone in the video hear the song ahead of time and decide if they wanted to be involved with it or not. Tom went into a depression for about a week after white boy because of the response it got. He barricaded himself in his room and didn’t even make any music or write anything. Coming from an extended family, whose Family Reunions should be sponsored by Crayola cause we have EVERY shade in our family, I was raised to accept others based on their heart and actions. I can't say I don't see color cause I'd be lying we all do; however, the color brightens my world. I love the fact that my son is just like me and he has called out "friends" who spit out slurs they heard from those that raised them & he's even ended relationships over it. The divisions are crazy that society puts on us. I truly believe it is simply to keep us from realizing just how similar we all are. We aren't the same but that's ok, we have enough in common to get along cause at the end of the day ... We all are family cause we're God's children ... Period! There's good and bad people in every race, but if we start looking at our similarities over our differences we can change everything in this world & rise together against those who perpetually try to keep us all down.
