I checked and he actually picked up this bike 5 years ago now! It's a ton of fun to ride and overall it works great, hope you guys enjoy! Once we get the buddy seat hardware we will do an install video of that!
Beautiful bike ! I just came across your channel in my feed actually. I'm happy to support your efforts and those of other fellow moto content creators. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you in the future ; keep up the great work and ride safe out there.
Your dad has a nice bike I have a 68 first Year with electric start bought it when I was 19 I'm 65 now I'm fixing to do it's final rebuild front to back top to bottom love that old bike I will never sell it. Tell your dad to put a Mallory electronic ignition in that old girl it will start /idle and run a whole lot smoother and have more power the ignition is distributor and ignition combined. Again beautiful bike 👍
@@drmikemerkt what you said is so true I have been riding a 95 Softail since 2001 it's a great bike gos a whole lot faster than the 68 but it just doesn't have the thing I call it. I just had my 8th back surgery this time number 4 in my neck all is good I feel better than I have in 3 years. As part of my rehab I have to wake up the old girl from her 20 plus year slumber and rebuild it and ride it. I use to have my own shop so all the new tech that's out there is going into the motor. I might just sell the 95 and finish riding on what I started on . Take care Doc enjoy that bike she is a cruiser.
@@albertkinney8021 o man! Happy to hear that you're on the med, definitely stay active and keep doing those exercises that your therapist tells you to do!
@@drmikemerkt yes sir I'm pretty sure I got this this one makes number 8 on back surgeries I am tough plus I got my 68 to look forward to refreshing and riding. I appreciate your concern just ride safe and enjoy your 67 😎👍.
@@albertkinney8021 Exercises are the ticket. The low / highs are great, but found simply squatting with feet flat on the floor really pays dividends, start by getting down there and you'll quickly reap the benefit, Cat / Cow mornings and evenings ('can even do these on your bed) are simple. easy and very, very effective too. Keep your Blockhead if possible, you'll have both ends of that engine and Evos aren't exactly boring are they?
@@TheSkylark16 Some of these non OEM parts really suck quality wise, I got burned on an Evo rear master cylinder recently. 'took two attempts to have one that didn't leak, so know how you feel. Paying twice for a part you can never fully trust sucks.
