Regardless of the 100% cause of his illness it's not HEALTHY to be so cut and dry otherwise they would feel good not drained, etc. when they are in competition shape they deny their body lots of necessary fluids, glad to see Tom was honest
@@wileecoyote5749 Lee Haney is 8 times Mr Olympia and he's healthy ...some people are not healthy enough to use Aas ..or they abuse instead of use ..They don't take a break as well ..Also they take too much protein, barely have vegetables on their diet and use diuretics ...it's much more than drugs, It's the whole lifestyle.
pretty cool interview. tom prince seems like a really cool and down to earth guy. it's interesting he's very educated and intelligent like many others in the sport that goes a bit unnoticed. I could have a real great chat with him if I ever got the chance. he was one of my favorite bodybuilders in early 00's and motivators. I was in college training heavily and really getting into bodybuilding back then when he was all over the magazines. he had one pic where he was doing squats or hack squats (can't exactly remember) but that pic was one of my key driving forces to never skip leg day and never put off squatting. he had sick quads that may have been underrated a bit. great guy, cool interview, nice topics.
@larry3349 There has been a lot of Top Pros with Kidney problems...I've never met anyone with a kidney problem nor have I heard about it in many other sports. Yet, in bodybuilding especially for how small the population is for the very Elite guys, kidney problems seem to keep appearing.. I love bodybuilding and I am not trying to put anyone down. I'm just sayin look at the facts..Besides when these guys visit their doc for sure he checking kidney functions?? I wonder why??? Drugs do effect it
He actually didn’t check anything till the damage was already done…the weight… the extreme blood pressure and the drugs…high protein all contribute to destroy the organs 😯
@mensacyclist I took the time to google it for you. Death After months of stomach pain, Münzer was admitted to hospital on the morning of March 12. By 7pm, doctors had decided to operate to stop bleeding from his stomach, but shortly afterwards his liver and then kidneys failed. His condition by this point was too severe for a blood transfusion-he died on the morning of March 13, aged 31. The autopsy gave the cause of death as dystrophic multiple-organ-failure.
Gods green earth. They said that right! I verily verily agree. I thank you, but not just me. I say some things and most digress, It is they who fail the test. The Gospels are being preached, In these words we must teach. Those who fail to hear His calling, Will cry for God when the hail starts falling. The end of the age of gentiles is upon us all, Over Israel the star did fall. Not the one that Herod did fear, But the two in the east and that time is here. This is mystery Babylon. What is it? The world connection to media and internet. What is mystery Babylon? You Meta get ready.. Those who do not bare the mark of God in their Hearts and minds already bare the marks of Satan. Time is near. Israel exists as prophesied, Yet only a remnant will be spared. God bless you. Many have knowledge, but few have wisdom. You are blessed.
I think the key words you are looking for, is diuretics. not steroids, but I understand its hard to know the difference unless you actually understand the matter a little better.
@kalel38 I don't see them as being addicting, unless your self body image is so low that you can't handle the idea of shrinking down a bit after you go off them.
Rob Buchheim he’s not lying! Look up Kevin Levrones comeback video from 2 years ago, he describes himself as having a genetic predilection for gaining muscle! He transforms from a skinny looking 48 year old, back into looking like a bodybuilder in 3 months, and competed a year later at the Olympia! Of course steroids are involved, but the people with the genetic predisposition for gaining muscle will get huge in one year! Just like some people are predisposed to gain more weight than others and can get extremely fat in one year!
I am sick and tired of every single health problem any pro bodybuilder has ever had being blamed on steroids. People all over the world have kidney problems, bodybuilders are not going to be an exception. Yes, drugs played a role, he doesn't deny it, but if you look at the number of people who have used gear and see how many of them actually have his problem, it's astonishingly low.
Look good for a few years and maybe die from what made them look like that- Don't get me wrong, they break their butt in training but also take tons of drugs to look like that- painkillers, diuretics, all growth stimulating drugs available what do people think the body will eventually do? All these guys LOOK healthy but the inside is being destroyed, seems they all retire as they are turning pro, takes years to get to pro status even on the drugs so they retire because they are told to by their Doctor- maybe 10 years on the juice nonstop to get to a certain point and then your body says no more, you can see the before and after pics
jim dandy - all this for lousy pay too. It's not like they get paid in millions when they win. The endorsements are not too good either. Sometimes think, was it worth it? ....anyway it's their choice.
@larry3349 Actually, I would say it's more of an excessive abuse of diet and drugs in bodybuilding....I'm not saying that it couldn't be STRICTLY do to anti-inflamatories and use of advil because there is always that chance....But like they say, the nut doesn't fall to far from the tree.....
