this is the SECOND guy to come on the show the same year as louis and say they could’ve had 1D success and i completely understand where they’re coming from. However, i don’t think they understand that just being given a slot on the x-factor guarantees success. the boys were just the total package at that time for music, they had the voice, the charm and the looks. i also think bringing up 1D doesn’t help their case, it just sets a standard for them to now out perform 1D to prove their point... they are just setting themselves up for failure

I don't understand why people are hating on Tom, it's understandable that he was jealous of the boys. They all entered with the competition with the same dream. I'm not saying he deserved to be in One Direction because 1D isn't 1D without our five boys. Tom's talented, cut him some slack. He's a decent guy.

Tarik Rath no.... tom had more of a dominate male personality and did focus a lot on how he looks. the 1D boys were more humble and had a different overall vibe

I liked Tom. I believed in him and I thought he stood a chance of going very far in the competition. He actually had a very good voice. Like Robbie said, "It all boils down to song choice" and if he chooses the right songs, he would be unbelievably brilliant.
