It's a big deal to him, He'll be gone for a couple of months. Away from his creation WDWNews. He has faith in Morton, but still will feel a bit of separation anxiety, A couple of months in a foreign environment will be an unforgettable event for him. Good luck Tom.
Eric! Thank you so much for saying how ridiculous the new queueing system is with bunching people up and then spitting them out jumbled up into a new queue. It's really unnecessarily stressful. Especially on rides like Cosmic Rewind that get bunched up in a huddle the other side of the pre show room doors, and everyone is trying to outdo each other to be a few people further ahead. It is no fun at all.
Yes I'll be waiting for the Martha's Vineyard meetup🤣. Eric nailed the chili's reference that's how my family is too. I'll miss ya Tom, but I'll be at Stage 89 I love to finally meet the entire crew. Another Amazing Podcast episode thank you Eric and Tom.
I’ve never seen a clickbait video from this channel. An interesting headline for a story that is actually reported on is the OPPOSITE of clickbait. Have we forgotten how headlines work? I commend the WDWNT team for NOT clickbaiting.
I think Eric needs a hug, and anyone who sees him in the parks should give him one. I'm not local (wish I was), so I can't. I was at Disney springs fir the first time last January and I wasn't really wowed, I was kinda disappointed with it. The rest of Disney, parks, and so I love. Have a good trip, Tom. 😊
Back in the early 2000s Cosmic Ray's was the ONLY option for a vegetarian option! Also...I would argue Animal Kingdom is the masterpiece of WDW. Great food (Santulii's, Laughing gull street tacos) Streetmousphere, shows, rides, animals- on point theming...simply the best.
How cool would it be to have a speeder bike attraction like FOP where join Luke and Leia in the scene from Jedi chasing the biker scouts through the forest! Just being able to join them on that adventure would be so nostalgic and amazing 😊
It still blows my mind that y'all don't like Soarin! It's a modern classic! Obviously it can't touch anything with physical sets, but the MUSIC, especially in the original, is what makes it! Flight of Passage is great, but half the time the water spray effect doesn't work, and the visuals have gotten blurry! Would you guys have preferred that Food Rocks stayed?
Hey guys I was driving home the other day and I passed two flat bed trucks. Each of the trucks had a fort wilderness lodge log cabin on them. Maybe some one bought them. Usually I don't think Disney world go to the trouble of transporting in tacked unless someone bought them.
I agree that Everest is not on par with Disney's other "mountains", but it's still a fun coaster. Better than Kali River Rapids for sure haha. Tom, how would you rank Everest, CA-Screamin/Incredicoaster, and Rock n Rollercoaster?🤔 I'd pick Screamin', due to it's length and views at night...
I used to love going to the Boardwalk to go hang out. But ever since they closed that parking lot across from the hotel parking lot, it's like trying to break into jail to get there. They have absolutely killed the Boardwalk. If they are really worried about people parking for free, put in metered parking.
I preferred the original single row lap Splash seating at DL.. It was more fun/exciting! I will always defend it lol. The others feel less like a flume, more like a boat. There were a few animatronics, like before the lift hill, that they should've recreated at WDW too. Oh well, they were both great and now gone.🥲
I’m sure Tom will miss buying clothes and shoes that fit. I hope the charm doesn’t rub off on a longer trip. I don’t think I would enjoy staying so long. It would become isolating. He can always come home. ❤
I grew up going to Westgate and Old Key West is the only resort that gives me those old school resort vibes that I love. I want to feel like I’m “at somewhere” not just “in something” and the other resorts feel like giant hotels to me.
I had to check out Martha's Vineyard on your recommendation. Great quiet place to be alone and drink your sorrows away. Oh, now there are only five tv's!
You will do you Tom, but I find Runaway Railway to be super fun. I love being immersed in a cartoon, I love the colors and I love being with the classic OG characters. It’s my new favorite ride at Disneyland Resort. Enjoy Japan🎉.
Turf club beats out, Victoria and Albert’s (since Covid), and California Grill, we were at calif. Grill last week the service was bad the food was mediocre at best only the sushi was good. Both v&a and calif. Grill are off our list. The last Victoria visit last fall was our 22nd time there, it was a total disappointment
Tom, PLEASE ask why the imagineers chose to remove REX from Star Tours! It made no sense to trash an original character who was loved and even funnier than threepio!
I agree that drinking around The world has ruined Epcot, because it's now like a pub crawl and lot of explicatives. Not a family environment. I wish safe travels. Pray that staff can hold down the fort in Tom's absence.
Given my dietary needs and preferences, I don’t eat in magic kingdom. I can’t eat fried food, no pork, semi-plant based. MK is either my budget day and I bring my food or I am eating at a monorail resort of wilderness lodge. I would rather eat a protein bar for lunch and spend the money on Genie+. Skipper Canteen os decent but I’d rather leave for a bit anyway.
Now that Tom is gone let go through all of his stuff. We can start listing it on Ebay. The Martha's Vineyard Commercial I watch multiple times, my chest hurts from so much laughing. Truly Tom, we will miss you, and of cores welcome you back.
I also agree that avatar FOP is the best wdw attraction. It is a wonderful emotional experience. I have never even seen the movies. On the other hand, Star Wars OG trilogy are my all time favorite movies and Star Tours is still my fave SW attraction. SR is a great set though. Love walking through the MF
I love watching your content. But this one was a bit jaded. All of you have such a privilege to enjoy WDW so frequently… that you get caught up on negativity with smaller things, that most visitors wouldn’t. How certain experiences used to be better, or how the other Disney parks are better. I’m looking forward to Tom’s in depth coverage of Tokyo but like most I’ll never get to experience it for myself. A related question, why don’t they improve WDW quick service? It doesn’t seem to be a secret that Disneyland is much better with this (and many offerings) because it’s more locals attending. But it seems Magic Kingdom also suffers in comparison to the other WDW parks.
Good Luck Tom!! We will miss you while you’re away. And if you see any wrestling while you’re there be sure and cheer for Jake Braddock if he’s there. That’s our nephew. ❤
