I can't begin to express just how much more genuinely interesting archival programming there is from the three networks, ranging from the 1960s to the 1980s, right here on RU-vid than can be found now in 2024 on all four networks and the cable news channels combined. Very sad and reflective of how America has dumbed itself down so much.

I'll be the first to admit that, as a young man, I found HC unpleasant, even angering. But I now mark his passing as a signal blow to, not only sports broadcasting, but broadcasting in the general. I grew up watching and listening to HC in the 1970s. Mr. Corsell was fearless in the broadcasting both. He never sugarcoated his commentaries. If he called a coach, manager, player, commissioner, owner or even a fan a useless idiot, unless they prove him wrong, he stood by his words. There was no apology, no cancel culture.
