I came across your cover two years ago and I still think it's at least as good as the original. Beautiful version! Generally I think there are too few women performing Tom Waits' songs. :)

Covering Tom Waits is hard! Maybe not that hard to do a less than admirable job, but Chelsea knocks it out of the park!! I think his songs are particularly difficult for a female voice, but Chelsea Williams is up to the task!

I enjoyed this a lot. Your voice is terrific. Yet, you say the words like words, not as if they have meaning and emphasis and purpose. My only criticism, but it's the one thing that I can't give you credit for. Leaping off of vowels to make it sound pretty isn't the point. However pretty, it's sloppy in approach. Chock it up to a live session but I doubt the recorded version could nail it. We are talking about GREAT music, right?

It's called a Harmonetta made by Hohner for, I think, less than 15 years. It primarily plays chords but can also play melodies with some skill.
