I wasn’t sure I was gonna make it out to Steel City Con for this event, I told people that asked that I wasn’t going. Ending up buying the ticket late night to go Steel City Con Sunday. This is the first time in a while that I didn’t go multiple days. This one did have an old school Steel City Con feel, lighter crowds for sure. Being able to get everyone I wanted to get in a day is not something that was able to happen at the last few events. So check out our experience at Steel City con April 2023. Thanks so much for watching! Please make sure to like, share and subscribe!!!

I walked past Nick Castle 3 different times and Joey Lauren Adams twice. Randy Quade walked past me before I knew it was him. Tom Atkins walked past me and my brother and later my brother met him that day too. We had an awesome time at Steel City Con on Saturday April 1!!!

That’s always fun. When you just run into someone in the wild. I almost ran into Paula Abdul last time when she was going for photos. She was so tiny I almost didn’t see her. We did see Nick Castle stalking around and say Michael C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter walking from the convention center to the hotel.

I wonder if the more expensive entrance fee this time around kept it more mellow and less crowded. Saturday tickets were $50; it wasn't too long ago that it was maybe $15-20 to get in. But that was before they focused more on having guests instead of it being a collectible-oriented.

I never thought of that but you may have a point! The tickets were a lot more expensive this time around and I don’t feel the guest list was as stacked this time around although it was a good lineup. Also yeah, it’s definitely more of an autograph show than a toys/collectibles show for sure

I was there last weekend. I got to meet a lot of celebrities including the big ones and it was a lot more relaxed than December. I personally am glad of how this one went then December. And the celebrities in my opinion were one of the best group that the company has gotten in a while all of them were nice out of what I met and no jerks out of the celebrities I met then a few I met over last years celebrities. I believe that this one was better and am hoping that they can expand on this one and make it better then this one even though it was one of the best steel city con since april of last year. Glad you got to enjoy your visit to the march one though man.

Yeah it was definitely more of a mellow vibe. I can’t say I ever had a bad experience there but it’s cool when everyone is nice and relaxed. I try to get to everyone and hope august is not as crazy as previous years. Thanks for watching!!!

I met Dolph Lundgren and he was a nice guy! It was definitely surreal to meet him!

I wouldn’t have minded meeting him, but just had a limited list. Did you get anything signed?

@@TomWasHereOnRU-vid I brought a Red Scorpion movie poster but I ended up getting a Punisher photo from his table signed.

Hi. I intend to go Friday and Sat and I wonder if the celebs already show up on Friday morning, heard that they only come in the afternoon? Thanks

That is correct, it would be closer to Afternoon. Most likely - there may be a chance some arrive early but not a guarantee they will arrive early. On Saturday they will be there close to or right at opening

I would like to meet maybe someone from National Lampoon's Vacation. I met and had a nice photograph with Willam Shatner (at another locale). He was ok. Line was a little long. I met Gary Wright (at another locale) who had a successful career in music and he was super nice. What I liked about the Steel City Con is the photos seemed natural. Some cons you see photos were the fan bending backwards and the celeb is behind a table which seems awkward. Your pics were terrific. Jenna Elfin and Michael C Hall were great pics.

I’ve met quite a few over the years at Steel City! Beverly, Chevy and Anthony Michael Hall at previous shows. Shatner is awesome, met him at a Wizard World a few years ago. It’s always cool once you meet people to stand back from it and see all the people you met over the years. Yeah I was never big on the lean in table pic stuff. I have a few of them, most notably with Burt Reynolds. I do appreciate those that stand or make an effort, it makes for a better picture!

What a career, ya know? Been in so much stuff and he was nice, reserved. Wasn’t sure what to expect! Also, apparently I’m now a featured guest at Yinzercon so I will absolutely be there!!! Come out and say hi.

I went on Saturday and the longest lines were Dean Cain, Payton List, and Terri Hatcher. Everyone else had like 1/2 people max and I kinda felt bad 😂 much more relaxed con opposed to December

I’m always fascinated by that, it’s surprising when someone who’s had a solid career has a modest line vs. someone who was in an episode of Stranger Things and their line is out the door. I can’t put my head around it!

Wow you park far away near the mall. You should just park at the TGI Fridays there thay parking lot is for the con and you don’t get towed. I meet Richard dean anderson since he doesn’t sign a lot and he was super cool. Also the con was packed it was elbow to elbow maybe you didn’t notice but I sure did. I had a 3 day pass and I can say it was packed everyday. I have said it before and I will say it again this con is too outgrown for this building.

Yeah I do park a good bit away. It’s just easier to get in and out. Glad to hear McGuyver was cool. I only went Sunday so I didn’t see the elbow to elbow. But yeah they need a much bigger venue but don’t see them moving. Maybe Monroeville mall if it starts dying more.
