The cool thing about Mike Patton is that he doesn't care about being "Famous." He does what he does because he loves experimenting with music and sounds. Which makes him famous. :) Even in HoRRywood now he lends so much of his unique talent to soundtracks and sound effects. Look up "I Am Legend Mike Patton" to find out that he voiced every zombie in that movie. So now, possibly, Will Smith even knows the awesomeness of Patton.
I'm 43 years old. I discovered Mike Patton and Faith No More, and then his plethora of other bands and projects. In the backyard right now with my daughter .She's 22 I'm 43 and you know who I am....if you're anything like me and you listen to music ,,,you know I am just like you and I'm smoking the weed. Such a nice feeling I have in the momen.t the smoke and he's kids nowadays got some badass weed anyways I'm pushing the music of my time on her and already got her love and shit man she knows what's real and what's not it makes me so happy that she does not fall for any rap and he crap you know nothing there's anything wrong with anybody who likes that stuff I don't care what you like but a lot of people will not give music like this a chance and this is such a mind fuc this music is in mind fuck man this music is it takes you deep within somewhere that you not been that you know there's doors are locked inside your brain and it takes a certain key sometimes that key has like two or three little things attached to it deprivation of certain things inhalation and ingestion of certain things are the keys that open those doors I'm not saying it's good or bad but I'm just saying man music and free thinking and loving yourself and loving those around you and loving your family and your family pet being a kind person and listening to good music that's life that's awesome life man don't forget the barbecue I love everyone and I love my daughter with all my heart
There have been either people saying that they wer dissapointed by the new album or they think its the best thing they have done. Its certaintly dividing opinion.I personally was blown away by it.I mean they didnt have to do another album like the last two, they proved they can make a great rock record. There opening new boundaries. What Denison did and the work he spent on Anonymous is something to be credited. And personally this is one of the best things Patton has put to record
possibly never. Duane now has USSA, reformed jesus lizard and (i think) another band to keep him busy, and patton has his usual plethora of projects, big john is busy with mark of cain and battles and stuff... i doubt tomahawk will ever see the light of a stage again... though i hope they do!
Can't ever get enough of the sound and tightness of Staniers drums live, simply amazing. Tomahawk is without a doubt the best sounding live project Pattons been involved with. The new album is an absolute master piece. How can someone not like a tracks like "red fox" or "sun dance", never heard anything like it, blown away Its that much more of an achievement when todays music is as stale as a loaf of bread left over from the great depression. At least someone is out there being original.
good start to the album, just like the debut had 'flashback' but then 'war song' on annonymous is easily the weakest track, i tend to think of it more as an intro than a song.
