Today I present you a quick and easy recipe: Tomatoes Provençal style, a delicious dish that you can enjoy at any time.
Let them warm in summer and serve them fresh from the air fryer in cold weather. You are sure to love them.
Do not omit double cooking. Think that the first one serves to half cook them and get them to start to soften. With the second, we integrate flavors, finish cooking the tomatoes and brown them. With a single long cooking, they would end up very toasted, even burnt, and, depending on the size of the tomatoes, they could be raw.
The onion, if you wish, can be lightly toasted, but note the word “lightly”. Don't let it brown too much because it will change the concept of the dish.
The salt? Use whatever salt you want. You can salt the onion and/or tomatoes before cooking them, but keep in mind that breadcrumbs already have salt and that garlic intensifies the flavor so that, in many cases, it is not necessary.
And finally, you can obviously make this recipe in the oven, although if you have an air fryer, it will be easier and more economical to make it as I show you in the video.
