Watching you guys play this in September of 2020 during the coronavirus whatever it's called in the future, love me some Gygaxian death and Mayhem! You guys are having a fun time I can't wait to see how the rest of the Adventure goes or I should say how the rest of this adventure went as it was a little while back when this was uploaded. But yes first edition is the best Edition

About half the party was new to the AD&D system, but we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves after learning it. Plus these old school modules are TONS of fun.

damn that sucks, I play a 1st/2nd edition hybrid game. Most of us are older and can't stand the WOTC version of the game.

19:50 while there is a mention of temp vs permanent strength loss, I marked here because this shouldn’t be given. From the characters POV they will have no idea how long effects last nor the duration except if a character has prior knowledge of effects. Players will meta game at this point and it will effect their actions. If effects not known, they may simply leave the dungeon (not in this case) or do other actions. Once the effect is known they may simply just camp out and wait it out. Note I’m not throwing shade, just offering advice for future players.

Fun session. I’d love to see more 1e stuff from you folks. The only editions I haven’t played are AD&D 1e and 3.0/3.5. I’m running a Roll20 Moldvay B/X game which is a great edition. I also love 0e (White Box) plus the supplements. However, when and if this apocalypse ever ends I want to run a 1e campaign in person. 👍

Tim the DM here! I would love to run more 1e stuff in the future. I greatly enjoy the emphasis on exploration and puzzle solving! It's not quite the same thing, but we are running a number of 1e adventures converted to 5e in the Water Under the Bridge campaign, and did White Plume Mountain's 5e conversion for Easter a couple years ago. Glad you enjoyed the show!

Oh I wish I could play DnD. Apparently Gary Gygax said that this is supposed to be fun for the dungeon master and not for the player. I can see why. Tim looks like he's really starting to have fun with this.

Hi, Tim the DM here! It's definitely a lot of fun for the DM, but... for me personally, it's only fun when the players are also having fun. They might not have acted like it all the time, but everyone had a great time playing this adventure, and I fed on that. I recommend it for any group open to puzzles and lethality! Hope you're able to find a way into the hobby! It's a real game changer, I've found. :)

I actually had more problems with the fact how long they take looking if Beejin is encumbered. Come on just let him carry Ashley, it is just for fun and lols anyway. Besides that I kinda like how Tim runs the game.

She did it right, her alingment changes to evil going thru the first time, and changed back when she went back the second time. She was a dick becaue the DM told her to be.
