The vastly improved textures and foliage really highlight how the jungle level is almost a spiritual precursor to Snake Eater in a way. With the non-euclydean shapes, and multiple means of traversing this organic and inorganic maze. Still, deceptively enchanting pools forgotten to time, the awe of the open canopy, the occasional glimpse of a rainy, uncaring sky against unknowable foothills, and the claustrophobia of tunnels and dense undergrowth add to the dream-like atmosphere that the PSOne catered for in spades.

This brings so much memmories , used to play this with my dad sitting near helping me to solve a puzzle or to find a way :D TR3 is the first one i played in the series and after that i played 1 and 2 and later on the rest.Its my most favorite TR game simply because if you pay attention its so well thought out...even the first level...like that park when you enter dark hallway in a cave you see the lever and as you get close you see monkey coming down from secret place up and when you get up you see the trap ,the stone hanging from up above.The water previously where first time you jump you realise its fast waters and you cant swim there but when you get around on the other side and turn right ,looks like fast water again but if you were a curious one youd try go there and find an item...also the sky when you get up on log and up more is amazing.When you get into corner and find that after searching for hours the answer was so near like moving a block or going through the mud and under, the caves where you get lost and everything looks the same...lol The details of ruins,leaves ,plants and monkeys and the placement of gates in the middle of woods always made me wonder what happened here like it was a real place ... loved every second of this game and still do.Also gotta mention the sounds and music its amazing. Like everyone else hope that one day we get the remakes of TR classics but who knows ...Dont know if im lonely in this but i think new games do look good and have great ambients and story but something is missing....cant point my finger on what exactly now lol
When i saw this game when i was 7, my father and brother would stay up all night even on work or school days to work the puzzles for this game. In the morning, when i was asleep after watching them game, they tell me what i missed and what happened story wise...it was so fun watching them play.
TR3 is my first TR game and I remember I complete it 3 or 4 times (though only unlock the final secret level once). If SE could remake these old TR games that would be awesome.
But some of the levels are boring or difficult to me, like the 3rd India level, the area 51 level. Thanks to some bugs or quick way that I can skip some parts.

TR3 is hard because of the multi routes design. It's like telling the players "You wanna all secrets? explore more! You don't care about secrets? then you can pass through very quickly lol " 🤣
the recreation of the soundtrack is done so well too! turning on the stereo in lara's home and listening to "the puzzle element" is one of my first vivid childhood memories, wonderful piece of music. i only found out later that it also appears in the india level when i was old enough to properly play the game

If that still not work for you. You can create the shortcut with pexioto's patch (TR3.Exe) then add it to data execution prevention. That should work for U 😊👍
I wish SE would remaster all of the original 5 Tomb Raider games instead of just chucking out new takes on the character and story. I'd happily pay £40-50 for a ps or xbox release of that kind. Thanks for putting up this lovely HD remaster of TR3's first levels. Now I can't wait to see the Pacific Islands with the dinosaurs 🦕
Yeah, they should listen to TR fans or the whole community for what we really need the most. Remaster and Remake are both the good options. Just hope they can make it happen 😅
Have they even announced whats next for the franchise? Isn't the new style series now finished with Shadow of the Tomb Raider? I guess Crystal Dynamics is busy fixing the terrible Marvel game and working with Microsoft/The Initiative/Rare on the new Perfect Dark.

Ah man. And how not to say PC is a master race after all? Not only game is easier on PC, it now looks marvelous. Having a picture like that in late 90s, and nobody would bother with consoles anymore

South Pacific Island had done before, but the author decided to remove it to make a better graphic for the final remaster 😊. And.... The author has been working on Nevada section these months 👍
even with the remastered collection coming, i still hope the guy who is remastering TR3 keeps doing it. this remaster looks so good and unique, it transparence passion and love, as well as a unique personality and atmosphere.
i think you forgot 1 pickup in the very first level at the beginning. You can fall into the water and the current will drag you down and there is a small medkit on the bottom of the lake :) Great playthrough tho
This remastered TR3 is so much better. Looks more realistic. Looks more like the FMV Cutscenes. Can’t wait for the South Pacific Islands, Nevada, London and Antarctica levels remastered version. Already 7 minutes and 13 seconds in the video I’m watching Lara shooting monkey butt and soon to be SHOOTING TIGER CATS IN THE BAAALLLLLLSSSSSS!

It was the first PC game I had as a kid, but I would have liked a modern version of this game, almost like the last trilogy.... It would have been much awesome.
It has some 3d models and light updates too, the water has more frames now and so on. I cant remember all the improvements, but you can check it in the official site

oh I don't set the game in full HD. Just set as "640*360" and please click the "Force Native Resolution" in pexioto's launcher. before you do, please delete the config in Tomb Raider 3 Folder 😀
If they remastered the original 4 games, or even just the first 3, to work on modern systems with modern graphical settings and controller support, they would make so much money.
you can play all TR classic on steam with controller and steam overlay, just gotta install the patches and a few more things i have all TR 1-5 working 100% with steam overlay and native widescreen fix, AA and aniso

With all these improvements they did I can't believe they STILL didn't restore showing the items you pick up, like how it was in the demo version. Missed opportunity!
