I'm not gonna lie, if i had an opportunity to have a wish granted what game do i want fully developed and polished up (like a golden trophy) before release, this Tomb Raider would be my immediate answer. This hopefully would be the key to Core Design's salvation from shutting down so they can make make more games.
These stealth takedowns are absolutely priceless. In Strahov I had to pull off some seriously Looney Tunes sneaking before the guard finally found his standing spot so I could take him down. Using it on a moving enemy is such a duh thing to have.
God, I *really* want to play AoD with this. But I only want to change around the mods for my game after I'm done with attempting No Loads No Meds for it and that won't be for a while! GAH, I can't wait until I can finally try this mod for myself! Your work to restore AoD is a bless! 😍😍😍
Great work. I was looking for to play the pc version, I was recently playing the PS2 version via emulator, but those inverted controls are really a problem.
Hey. I didn't know how to contact you, I don't have an account on the TR Forum. But I believe that on RU-vid you will read my comment. I've always been a fan of Tomb Raider and played them all. But because of the negative media, I always ignored this game. I was told that there was now a patch that fixed many AOD problems. I bought the game and installed your patch. After 15 years of playing Tomb Raider. I finally played AOD and really enjoyed the game as a whole. Of course, it is still a long way from being an excellent game and does not surpass the LAU trilogy in my opinion. But it was still really cool to play this game in large part thanks to your mod. Finished it today. Thanks... Also really enjoyed the new cutscene in extras.
Would you ever consider changing the tank control scheme to control like Sasho's control patch? I really love all the work you've done here but Sasho's controls are wayyy better with the 180 turn animations, fluidity of transitions from running and walking etc. Amazing job with the mod though. Great additions to the game.
...but with all these fixes it wont be the underdog game of the series...and my underdog syndrome might wear off 😱 Seriously though this look Amazing 🙌 I can’t wait to play through again. My mind is blown away that all these things can be fixed years later.
If installing this on Steam Deck, do we use the XInput executable or one of the two DInput ones? Will the Steam Deck accept the DInput controls if so? Also, attempting to edit some settings using the multipatcher (such as regular snow falling speed from PS2, the PS2 demo video in the main menu and inverting look controls) cause the game to crash on startup. What do I do to fix this?
good job keep going, I love that people like you are still actively working on it. So are you involved in the definitive edition too? if so why are you releasing your version separate and not putting it all together when the definitive edition is done or is this a different project? Hope you can help us understand.
I'm not actively involved with the definitive project, we share ideas, feedback, some assets etc. but they are ultimately seperate projects. The definitive edition will be made on top of this though so people won't have to choose one or anything like that.

They probably get harder and harder to see as your resolution gets higher. Same thing happens with the rain as well. This sort of stuff happens in many older games
Incredible work so far!!!!!!! Can camera sensibility be edited tho?? I feel it moves so fast...... The ps2 camera move speed was perfect imo. Also the stealth dead move is glitchy cause enemies body goes through Lara..... And when finish her head looks up and suddenly down. If this could be fixed it would be amazing...
Hi! I'm really very glad that such a project exists at all, it's really cool! In fact, at one time I never played the original game and therefore, it may be difficult for me to fully appreciate all the changes, although I watch the passage of the original in parallel and am most surprised at how many phrases were cut out, while playing this version they are all even voiced in Russian (o_o) In general, a lot of work has clearly been done. However, I started taking it only recently, so... will saving from the previous version work if you install a new one? Well, there were also a couple of questions/comments. I don't know what is known and what is not, but on the Parisian alleys, in front of the entrance to the building, in this new part of the location down the stairs, there you can jump on an invisible ledge of some kind over the dumpsters, get over the gate from it and there go beyond the map. Of course, it does not bother anyone, but if you strive for the ideal, then you can fix it) The next thing I noticed is that in the hall of elements, when falling into a trap, when rolling down a slope, sometimes Lara teleports somewhere outside the location and falls endlessly into the black void :(Well, one more inconsistency, when escaping from the Louvre, Lara is stunned, and when she comes to, she is already wearing sunglasses, and when she enters Von Kroy's apartment, she is again without them. Of course, I really like Lara in sunglasses, I wouldn't mind always playing for such, I even found a modification that added sunglasses to Lara, (but how did I understand that it's not possible to put something else with this mod, because exe files need to be changed?). But there is clearly a discrepancy here, I think. Well, one more oddity - it is in this fashion at the first location of the city (where Lara wakes up in the train) for some reason, the dialogues all sound in English, although in all other locations everything is translated and in the original he was here too. As I understand it, a different file format is used for this location. Is this how it should be? :(
Do we need to install your patch 1.2.1 on top of anything or can we just copy all the files on a fresh aod copy? because I noticed that some extra dialogue that was there before is now missing like in the Apartment block with the police.
You don't need to do anything with the rar file to launch the game... Just drag & drop the mod files into a clean installation of the game, overwrite the files once it asks you and it should work once you start up the game using the launcher. There's not much to explain other than that so I can't help you if you are unable to do this
Can someone please in detail give a step by step On how to install this on top of the 1.2.0 patch. And what files need to be replaced or moved, specifically the pin and data files
@@rafaelotero8942If you are trying to launch the game directly from TRAOD_P4.exe, copy and paste it to one folder back (so one folder back from "bin") and launch it from there
@@reborninshadows Still no luck. As of now everything in the TRAOD folder is as followed: bin cache data FMV PACK.rar and TRAOD_P4. Every original file that comes installed with the game I deleted and replaced it with the patch 1.2.0 files. Am i missing something here??
@@rafaelotero8942 1) are you trying to launch the game directly from TRAOD_P4.exe or are you using the launcher of the game? 2) you say you "deleted" the original files of the game, not sure what exactly you mean by this but don't remove any of the original files, just copy and paste the files of the mod and say yes once it asks if you want to overwrite
