Release Information for RB26 Short Block Engine
At this time, Tomei Powered USA has brought together many years of experience, technology, and products to complete the world’s highest-level cylinder short block for the RB26DETT. All work is completed in Japan at a high level and transportation to the United States has arrived.
Ultimately Selected Components
Let me give you an overview, first, regarding the parts used, as a foundation, all new cylinder blocks produced by new casting molds under the Nissan Heritage Program are used (STD and N1 are available). The crankshaft is a forged billet 12-weight full-counter (stock is 8-weight semi-counter) crankshaft with 77.7mm stroke (4mm increase from the stock 73.7mm). The connecting rods are forged H-beam that balances lightness and strength. The pistons are 87mm A4032 forged aluminum alloy (stock is 86mm). Trusted ARP main studs and head studs from USA are used, and during the boring and honing stages to enlarge the cylinder block from the stock 86mm to 87mm, ARP studs to the cylinder block are carefully tightened to the specified torque so that the clearances match exactly to that of when the engine is mounted on the vehicle.
Specialized RB26 Machining in Japan
Boring and honing work is outsourced to Diamond Engineering, a company specializing in racing and tuning engines in Tokyo, which has a track record of processing thousands of RB26 blocks in Japan. They are the ultimate machining company that knows everything about the world’s highest-level RB26 engine. The torque plate used is a perfect reproduction, exclusive to the RB26 with the same thickness and weight, allowing it to be finished with high precision unique to Japanese pistons with a narrow clearance of 0.05mm. As a result of the narrow clearance, the compressed gas sealing performance is improved, realizing reliable power with no loss, bringing engine noise low, and the piston ring life is also greatly extended.
Experienced RB26 Engine Builder
The engine is reliably assembled in Japan by a veteran engine builder with more than 30 years of experience in building the RB26 engine, in a well-organized environment with well-controlled temperature and air management.
Precious Ownersbook & Serial Plate
In order to authenticate the high level of the engine, a serial plate is placed on each product, and an owner’s book with details of the engine is prepared, with a matching serial number proving its contents. It can also be a great item of proof when selling the vehicle, which can increase the value of the vehicle.
Durable Wooden Crate for the Enthusiasts
The packaging is perfect and well-protected in a special wooden crate, ready for worldwide shipping. This time, we have completed two of each N1 block and STD block specifications, totaling four units have been completed and have already been transferred from Japan to the USA and are in stock. Currently, it is difficult to obtain new blocks from Nissan Motor, but TOMEI has secured several units, so we are able to produce more, but please understand that the quantity is limited.
