What a fantastic message and very timely. I just ran into such conflicting perspectives recently with several people who behave terribly for themselves and the community. I hear rumors of awful things this one person has done, yet talking to them they are decent and polite. This past week someone offered a story of praise for how this person went far out of their way to help a stranger in dire need when no one else would, and all of the rumors and misdeeds seemed inconsequential and this person appears reasonable, and misunderstood.
