The insurance companies don't know what qualifies as a sporting use, hunting use, and stupid use of my firearms better than I do. They're not going to make up rules for me. Frankly, the current insurance system needs reworked.
Insurance for a gun. We have a right to keep and bear arms. Last time I read the amendments in the constitution I don't recall paying for a constitutional right. That's the stupidest idea ever.
I don't think it's that bad of an idea per se but the problem is you don't have to pay for insurance to just own a car, you only have to pay for insurance if you use a car. And that is where the main difference is. People who buy a car probably are going to use it very regularly, like 5 days a week, most people who buy a gun rarely use them. Why should I have to pay insurance on something that sits in my safe collecting dust?
I don't know if it's a good idea or not. I do know that it is thinking outside the box. That doesn't guarantee that it's a good idea, but I think we could do worse than to consider it. If it turns out to be a dumb idea, then fine, but at least we'll know we gave it a look.
oh my that has to be the stuipidest thing i have ever hear . for one the thing the insurance would be so high that most citizens would not be able to get it. if you dont believe me look at heath care, full coverage car, and all the other insurance you can buy. 2nd why would any think this is a good way to stop crime are criminals going to buy this i dont think so. when did chong think he could say anything with out it going up in smoke maybe he should put the bong down
