It's so fuckin beautiful how two of the biggest party animals are sitting together, one being the childhood hero of the other, and they are both sober and doing great in life.
scott meyers He said in Tom segura podcast 5 months ago that he had been sober for six months. So that would make him sober for abouth a year now, IF he kept at it but who knows.
Tommy Lee has said he has been able to stay away from hard drugs for years now. If he can smoke and drink occasionally without addiction issues then props to him.
Tommy is so right…the 80s and 90s were such a wild, crazy fun time. I’m so glad I was born in the 80s and got to experience the pre-social media world. ❤️
mick is such a nice guy he’s just very suppressed from his bone condition I got to meet him at joe Luis arena in detroit and he was talking about how bad his bones were hurting and he signed my poster and said “I’m sorry guys but I have to go I can’t feel my legs and my back is killing me I love you all I’m very sorry” he handled everything so good and somehow he’s still an amazing guitarist he truly loves what he does
Mick is an AMAZING person. I've loved Motley ever since the beginning. Mick has always been my favorite band member. Little did I know that at age 16 ( I'm 50 now) I would be diagnosed with the same bone disease as Mick. (I was also diagnosed at age 4 with osteo genesis imperfecta aka glass gene disease aka brittle bone disease) anyways I just thought it was kinda neat that my favorite guitarist had the same disease that I have. It's very painful. Your bones hurt/ache/burn constantly. The back pain is awful Your legs go numb and the muscle pain is so intense you just want to scream and puke all at the same time. I have always admired how he was able to get up there night after night and not only play as well as he does but stand there for hours and do a show.
Lol hard to remember all that almost 40 years ago when you drank till you couldnt lol dude is suprisingly articulate despite all that and being a huge rockstar at 20
11 years old, Livewire world premiere on MTV, I see this dude spinning his sticks, double bass and cowbell, and that was it. Every ounce of my being was transformed into this obsessed drummer and music lover. To this day I pride myself with my choice to play drums after seeing Tommy play. Fukn wish I could've partied with him.
Maybe they'll re-shoot some scenes for the blu-ray special edition w/ the O-man OR they can cgi him into every crowd scene & we have to spot him in the crowds. Somebody should make a kid's book like that... 😃
I watched the dirt with my 9 year old son , I lived the metal years from the start motley, was the band , I grew up in the 70's the 80's was my generation , I'm 53 now and nothing has changed , bought my first harley at 52 , still getting tattooes , wouldn't change a thing , made me who I am , and my son rides with me ,
It amazes me every time SteveO uploads. I never would've guessed 15 years ago that he would be the healthiest and most consistent member of the Jackass Crew
I get it why people post comments like this, but it's getting old bro. Every video someone says this almost word for word. I love stevo, and like everyone else I'm proud of a guy I've never met but I'm trying to put myself in stevos shoes, I'd be sick of it by now if I was him.
Sobriety and rehabilitation saved his life, we all saw his behavior and he knows he is lucky to still be alive after dealing with his deadly addictions. Steve is still a rad dude, just no more drugs thank god. Wish Chris Farley would have gotten sober, among other people.
@@gustavoo3886 I would be confident in saying he wasn't thinking of that particular tragedy. If you watch he used the word murder a lot in reference to other things
Thank you Steve-O! I have loved Tommy Lee since 1989. Thank you for having him on and letting us see what a cool, laid back guy he is. You are such a good friend Steve-O.💙🖤
You are sadly mistaken. You can fake sobriety. It just depends on who the people around you are. Some people have ZERO clue what to look for while others can instantly spot that shit in a heartbeat. So you can fake sobriety. I know. I've done it and got away with it very easily.
@@General_Junkie I can spot it instantly in the eyes. Just today I was watching a RHCP live video and there was a close up of a dude in the audience. Pin eyed
You can fake sobriety, but true sobriety stands out...in someone who was known to be fucked up 24/7. I'm pretty damn good at knowing who is or isn't sober, from my own experience. I've fooled people into thinking I was sober then I got over confident and fucking blew it. Showing up to work fucked up thinking they didn't notice. The only person I ended up fooling was myself at the end of the day.
I loved watching this. To see Steve-O and Tommy Lee just having a real conversation and just hanging out makes me happy. Thank yall for being such a huge part of my childhood 🤙
This is THE best! You 2 are so natural, honest, and endearing. I'm so glad you can both find comedy in your past. If you can't laugh about it, it's just not worth it. ❣️
Steve O ahead of the game with the camper van podcast / YT channel. So many other ppl are just getting started in this journey with covid and everything, Steve O.... beat em to it,
Do you want to know what I loved. Tommy say and listened to a die hard fan remember all the awesome things. Steve o was so excited and he sat so humble. This is what a “rock star” is. He gets happy listening to a fan tell all the things they love about their band.
Yep. There is a little out there ..I play rock, and the other older folks I know are all sappy serious acoustic now with no energy. No one wants to play with me because I like to rock, loud, and have fun.
Yes!!!! My 16 year old son and 11 year old daughter have been RAISED on all this music and they adore it and hear new shit and go “Jesus this is horrible…”
Dude, I held the stadium tour tickets for three years! Finally got to see the show at Busch Stadium in St. Louis July 6th 2022. Fuckin Great Show Brother! Thanks for staying with it and never canceling.
Like his stories on him touring & partying with one of the biggest craziest party animals around. That would be “ OZZY “!!! Fucking love Ozzy and the fucked up things he did with The Crüe when they toured with him !! Shit fest. Ant eating. Licking up piss. Omg the grossness goes on n on with Ozzy Even Tommy could NOT handle it.
This is by far the best pod I've seen! Cant imagine sitting down with my childhood hero for an hour and kicking back like that. Travis Barker, hit me up when I'm famous! lol
Get better heroes. Travis Barker is cool and all but even he'd admit that there are much better choices. Now Travis Bickle, that's someone I'd want to interview
I love these type of podcasts where the host connects with the guest like theyre brothers or best friends. The conversation always comes out entertaining and interesting. Like youre in the room with them. Its awesome.
One thing about *Tommy Lee* that has fascinated me and feel he doesn't get the credit for how creative he really is. From young massively successful rock drummer who created this frontman presence and ventured into bringing so many different genre's of music together on his own especially with *Methods of Mayhem* and *Andro* even if you don't enjoy it all his idea's and talent level is truly impressive. 🤟👍
Whoever has Tommy’s gold record let him know!!! He said you deserve to keep it but he just wants to know where it’s at. Thanks for an awesome podcast Steve O! Try to line up Nikki for the podcast!!’
The way you delivering commercials is the best one I ever saw on any youtube video or podcast or call it whatever anyone would like. It's just brilliant. Love you Steve-O P.S. Once I also worked on royal caribbean in ent. department, so love you even more knowing that, no capital letters for that assholls ;) Stay strong
Bring Tommy back! He's one cool dood who has a ton of wild stories but is now laid back and super chill. I of course knew who he was before this but never really followed him or Motley Crue very closely, but now I'm itching to hear more from him! He's genuinely engaging and seems like a great buddy that you can share anything with. Make him a regular! I could have binged on this for 3 solid hours.
I was rooting for ya Steve-O💪 Glad to see you succeeding. You look so healthy and secure. Love the interviews. Only my 2nd one and you are fantastic. U inspire me to do right. Ya feel me? Congratulations
I just want someone to look at me the way Steve-O looks at Tommy Lol. The adoration is so pure and his gaze is full of excitement and awe. :) Its beautiful.
Love ya steve-o, grew up watching all your ridiculous stunts, grew up struggling with drugs as well. You were and still always are a big inspiration for my sobriety. It'll be 3 years in a month (if I make it) ... love all these videos, you're a great interviewer.
I’m Behind on this but this was the greatest !! It’s not everyday that you Interview your idol who is now your best bud .. congratulations on all of the success you are an inspiration Steve O .. you remind me that there is always hope
I hope my life comes full circle one day like this honestly what an amazing podcast it’s been so funny watching steve-o recall ALL these memories revolving around the Motley Crue and Tommy it’s so insane how he’s got Tommy as a guest on HIS podcast now and the way Tommy reciprocates back that same love back to him truly the coolest thing ever btw I’m obsessed with Tommy’s prada bucket hat
Hello! It’s amazing that we’re all even able to watch this. I was at my prime drinking days when cky and Jack ass was just coming out and I remember watching how Hilarious Steve-O was and it’s so awesome that he is still alive and he seems happy reminiscing about all the dumb stuff they all did. I’m grateful that I’m sober today it’s been over 6 years now and just want to say to Steve O, I’m proud of you brother! The courage you’ve had to stay clean and sober is the hardest kind. One day at a time bro I’m right there with you. Last thing, I’m a plumber and hopefully whoever gets the bidet attachment will have some respect for us plumbers! Lol Keep it up bro!
I missed this era due to being in church/ cult my whole teens. 😩 Sounds amazing. Steve-O is awesome for exposing me to people I would have never clicked on. Thanks! See you in Florida 2021!
I love their relationship Back then it was such a different time. Nothing like it is now. Now, bands taking the time to interact with fans, especially kids, when they're blowing up or are already famous, just rarely happens. They know kids latch on and end up meaning so much to them, cuz hello they're children. So I'm really happy that mötley crew took the time to take pics and appreciate all the work Steve-O put into finding them. Also I love love seeing the bonds between men and their friendships and dynamics. It always seems to last a life time for majority of male friends which is always something I found so beautiful to watch and see. Most Male friendships I've witnessed last a lifetime and they truly love one another and are open with each other... I've always loved seeing that.
