Tommy "The Duke" Morrison (34-1, 30 KO's) vs. Carl "The Truth" Williams (26-5, 20 KO's) in a heavyweight bout scheduled for 10 rounds at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada. January 16th, 1993.
I comment this on every single Morrison fight but its non fucking stop, all you hear is commentators belittling and criticizing Morrison. I've never watched any other fight of any other boxer gets talked about this much. It's almost as if every single person on earth expected Morrison to KO everyman hes fought in 10 seconds, and if it took him 11 seconds to KO them then his career was a complete failure.
Tommy was always very exciting... partly because he was always very suspect. Involved in some memorable 90s battles. Probably better than he gets credit for... The win over Foreman proved he was more than just a slugger with a world class left.
@@Shovelhook Yes I think Morrison's tactics that night really surprised Foreman. George would've liked Tommy to come at him as usual... But he wisely chose to box on the back foot. A compliment to the power of the old man.
@@travisharms8318 That's cool man. I was a huge fan of his. Never met em but I did get to talk to him on the phone in 2010. I'll never forget that. I called his gym, and left him a message, cause I was wanting to go and train with him and he called me back. That was like a high.
@@travisharms8318 Yeah TBC gym. I'm from Ohio, I boxed amateur locally for about16years.And was gonna go out there and train with him. He wanted $50 an hour. I think he was doing bad on money at the time, I understand that.
Back in the day, RU-vid was limiting my uploads to 15 minutes or less, so this fight had to be posted in installments. Part 3 can be found by searching "Tommy Morrison vs. Carl Williams 3/3".
Any change? I can view it and haven't received any messages from youtube indicating an error or problem. Get back to me on this. If need be, I'll upload it again later.
Search "Tommy Morrison vs. Carl Williams 3/3" for the conclusion. This was uploaded back in the day when RU-vid was restricting me to 15 minute video installments or less, so I put the fight up in three parts.
The fight was uploaded in 3 parts, back when RU-vid was restricting my uploads to 15 minutes or less. Search "Tommy Morrison vs. Carl Williams 3/3" to find the rest of the bout as well as the post-fight interview.
@@timthompson8297 I still enjoy complimenting videos well done, as well as seeing just how many dumbass people still make even more dumbass comments. It's educational to see how many stupid people that are still clueless about boxing, and willing to show the whole world the same.......
Tommy Morrison got pushed out of any hall of the greats of the 90s he had the best left hook in the game and he was not one dimensional he fought how he always did by wining by knockout look at his record Rest in peace Tommy
That's because it's the second part of three installments. That's what the "2/3" in the title indicates. This was uploaded back when youtube was only allowing me to post videos that were 15 minutes or less in length. You can find videos titled Tommy Morrison vs. Carl Williams 1/3 and 3/3 to see the match in it's entirety.
Mills Lane should've stopped this bout in the 5th! I guess money talks in boxing for there were much more dollars to be made with Morrison than with Williams!
