It could pretty much be any of the Tommy’s. It could be Jason assuming that the green powered could have fused with the red power coin when Jason help both power coins . It could be Orion I think there’s an image with the mega force keys in the background. Or it’s probably just a memory. Anything is possible
I think it is Tommy, and Kimberly and Jason are in it as well in the beginning... but they just won't be shown outside of their helmets. There will be some sort of plot on why they're not around or at least that's what I think. I remember seeing a picture in Rita's lair where she had the green, pink, and red ranger on a shelf in the background.. so maybe that's something on why they're not visually in it.
You left out the fact that when the making of the turbo movie, the characters that made surprise cameos denied that they were ever going to be in the movie when asked before hand. JDF could of very well film his scenes before he died and was lying about not being involved to throw off fans. Some even speculate that Amy Jo Johnson is doing the same.
I would rather have JDF's Daughter as the Green Ranger, in honor of her dad. Though after learning why JDF didn't want to join in the first place.... shrugs
I'm kinda hoping it ends up being an Andrew Garfield/No Way Home situation where he said he wasn't involved, but really was very much involved I'd like to see some kind of send off in-show, at least...
Would be nice seeing Jason David Frank as Tommy one last time. He always seemed excited being in power rangers but he sounded like he was done last time he talked about it. One youtuber said Jason didn't like the script. Hopefully it is a Garfield situation and he surprise us.

It's either Adam or Jason, as Jason had the green ranger powers technically. So he let's Rocky be Red and goes green for Tommy who is lost in the morphing Grid like Zordon.
I think it's almost certainly Tommy as the Green Ranger, but it looks very likely that JDF won't be in Once and Always. Instead, Tommy will remain morphed for the entire episode and either won't have any lines at all or they will have a voice actor sound like Tommy.

Theee a lot options 1. the zeo crystal bring it back 2. The Rangers Key restore it. 3. Morphin Masters like they to in dino Fury Season 1 after there powers was desroyes they bring it back. 4. the nexus prisma. 5. To Zordons Death all get their Powers back... For me its nr. 3! The master morpher was sure build by Billy. I wonder if they Specail is only about mmpr or if they use Zeo Powers too?
I think Jason would be a better successor as the Green Ranger. Jason did lead the team too. The Green Ranger is as much a leader as White and Red. Black Ranger is usually 2nd in command

The only problem with all of these is that the anniversary special was shot before JDF passed I have a feeling it was intended to actually be Tommy no idea if they will have done anything to change that in post production but I still
JDF informed Hasbro he was retiring from playing the character. So Adam or JJ (introduced in Ninjia Steel) is certainly possible since Hasbro knew he was retired.

Yeah.... no. It will still be Tommy and no they're not gonna Rouge One or Fast and Furious doing a CGI JDF/ Tommy. I don't think Tammie or Jenna wouldn't allow it. Tommy will still be alive in the Ranger just being retired beyond special events being suited whatever Ranger forms Hasbro wants. Didn't stop them during Legendary Battle using the Rangers they needed without their main actors involved.
It’s Tommy just not JDF. They’ll just not have him take off his helmet. If he talks then it’ll be old ADR. It really makes no sense for anyone else to have those powers, especially Adam. Yeah he’s gonna be in it but I don’t think he’s going to morph. It doesn’t make any narrative sense and just because he was zeo green doesn’t mean he’s worthy of the mmpr green ranger powers. It will be disappointing if it’s anyone other than Tommy because it wouldn’t make any sense. Now it could be, albeit unlikely, a next gen team where the next gen would have the mmpr powers like Minh. I say this because one angle makes the black ranger look feminine. It could just be a bad angle but the frame is smaller than a normal male’s frame.
@@GenerationSPodcast I did like the ideas of David and Tom as they were new despite how unlikely it would be. So many are dead set on it being Adam as if there is no way it could be Tommy without JDF. I’d even be fine with it being JJ if it was done right such as it being an all new mmpr team and those fighting scenes we saw were set up to be the epilogue to show the next generation using the powers.
99% sure it's going to be JJ considering that the yellow ranger is is Trini's (and Zacks) daughter, since both Zack and Kat are there I'm assuming that their kids are there as well

I like speculating and figuring things out guys but come on. Its going to be "Tommy" and he never going to take the helmet off. In the room with Robo Reta it look like small figures of green red and pink which a youtuber showed meaning it could be Tommy, Jason and Kimberly captured in the show (not showing there faces) but in suits as figures. Which could imply this might be a mashup of rangers chosen through different time spans. Dimensions/time portals. All of these are factors in the ranger universe.
Listen it's going to be Tommy but we're knocking to see him because of Jason David Franks unfortunate demise, so what's going to happen is Rita's already said in the trailer she's going to go back in time, obviously only so many Rangers are going to go back in time which means that the Green Ranger and obviously Yellow Ranger aren't going to be a part of it and it also solves the issue with the Dino Megazord being back since it was destroyed in season 2

If they use the second idea of Tom Oliver and instead of reusing the clone angle the green power coin can be past down thru he’s family tree to a recent descendant side note from that I would be in my opinion and a good tribute and send off to jdf if he’s daughter played the part

The one true possibility to me would be perhaps Burai from Zyuranger .Jason had said that he Absolutely was not coming back,before he passed because he wanted to focus on Legend of the white dragon. Looking into it more Saban really disrespected Jason behind the scenes trying to claim rights for White dragon. Really As much as fans would like to see Jason back we REALLY need to let him rest and accept he won't be in it except for maybe a flashback reference . At this point I just hope the Special has a "In Memory of " to Jason

I am a old school fan I mean MMPR I seen them all and you guys forget jason Austin St. John he has done it before and and he ha's or had the coin of tommy's and he had the dagger too
When we recorded the episode we knew that Austin St John was not going to appear in the special due to his on-going legal issues. But in general, yes Jason could take over the green ranger mantle and rocky can stay as the mmpr red ranger.
