This is the best video yet I've seen on Green Aqua. (I love you too, Balazs!) Brilliant. I learned so much. Iwagumi is my favorite style of tank and, I argue, is the most difficult to master. Every detail and every flaw is magnified with Iwagumi. Tommy's critique was educational, correct, exacting, but also supportive. His knowledge was clearly articulated and could be understood by a newbie like myself. David's resulting tank is nevertheless stunning. He is smart, humble, has a great eye, and is a valuable member at Green Aqua. I would be proud to have him build my Iwagumi tank. Well done to you both. I won't forget this video! Thank you.

Looks beautiful and I love the choice of fish. The Rummy Noses look brilliant all swimming together. Fabulous

Love the scape. I personally would have chosen a smaller tetra other than rummy noses as I personally feel they dwarf the scale of the hardscape.

A huge school of Boraras would have elevated this layout even more. These fish are far too big

This is really beautiful! The only thing I would change is to raise that level of the sand. I didn’t really understand it when Toni said it, but it makes sense looking at the finished tank. This is really beautiful and the client must be so pleased!

One of the problems when sourcing good hardscape is that the better rocks in a shop's consignment get taken first, and what's left can often be disappointing, boring, featureless - or all three. Shops are often reluctant to 'refresh' their stock of hardscape until the old stuff is sold first.

Actually, this is a good video idea, to make something of the leftovers. I bet I can do something by combining the rocks. The more rocks you use, the better your layout will be, just use smaller ones, and not ones that are "ready made". Most beginners do that.

Beautiful rocks and placement, only 1 thing I agree with Tommy, the rocks on the right hand side look too uniform, but that's me being critical ❤

I was hoping the first stone was on the left not on the right and used the arch there as a cave (could have used another rock on it on the bottom to elevate it higher than the "main rock"). Would've been nicer if both sides were higher (put bags of substrate to elevate the level rather than thick soil to make the illusion like the mountain was cut in half. Same as Tommy's comment that the scape on the gap should be at same level on the sides to create more depth. A school of 40-50 green or ember tetras would be my fish of choice. Nonetheless, its still a great looking scape.

I'm going to be completely honest, I don't like the iwagumi style, because it's too artificial for me, but each to their own I guess. This hardscape looks epic tho. I would have put more epifites on the rocks and stems in the back, but then it wouldn't be an iwagumi anymore. Nonetheless it's a great tank and a very good job of Dávid

@save7043
@save7043 Год назад
@@philipwilliams2229 Yup. Drop checker is showing green almost yellow. I don’t put liquid fertiliser cause previously I did and had algae bloom
@detlefh.7090
@detlefh.7090 Год назад
Low mineral content makes live so much easier for scapers with much less algae and faster plant growth. Consider at least minimizing KH if not GH also.

Try lowering hardness by using RO water or else and you will have much better results.
