This is our spontaneous take on this groovy melody! We simply love it from the first time we’ve heard it!
The tune comes from great album of Alisdair Fraser and Paul Machlis “The Road North” which I highly recommend!

Hey, the information I have is that it was composed by Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser in honor of Tommy Hayes, an Irish bodhran player. It was recorded by him in 1989, so I wouldn’t call it traditional (at least not like most of people understand this word). Also the intruments (piano and percussion) used in the original version are not typical irish/scottish.
